I tried support through Phone, Chat, and Email, was told there is no way to get any such refund.
I sent one last email, that was word for word the same as this guy's except for Dell was changed to Compaq. I have not yet received a response.
I'm now running Ubuntu, and using VMPlayer to run MS Win XP Pro.
It is funny, XP Pro run in VMplayer with a 20 gig slice and given 128 MB runs much better than Vista did on it's own.
Have you seen the current status of the PSP's unsigned code protection?
Cracked, Patched, Cracked, Patched, Cracked, Patched, Cracked, Cracked Better, A Shell added on, dual boot, downgrades, on and on.
My guess: Easy
If smarter, why didn't they skip steps with the black box? The logic is the same, "see process step A, B, C, results".
Lazy chimps? Could be, it sees the reward and does not even think about the steps anymore "must have it!".
I'd like to see this test done when a child shows another child the process, adults are authority figures as mentioned before. Many children may just repeat extra steps because that's the way it is done.
These kinds of things help nothing and often lead to further confusion instead. (IMO)
Quote: He already has preferred channels for getting his information. X-Play on G4 shapes his gaming opinions ("dude, how can you like that game? it only got 2 out of 5 on x-play!")
That's great, he's already getting into the flock, train your sheep young we don't want them forming their own opinions on anything. Baaaaaaaaa!
So what language would you PHP~Flamers suggest? RoR? Perl? JSP?.NET?
As many others have stated, blame the newbie coders not the environment. Every year people die trying to blow-dry their hair in the shower, it's not the water company, electric company or hair dryer company's fault.
Sure it lets you get into a mess rather quickly, but so does Linux in general. So does almost every other web language. Don't tell me you can't shoot yourself in the foot with Perl or ASP, if you think that you're a fool. They don't FORCE you to write secure queries or data validation classes either.
Most of you just like to cry about whatever others are. I'd wager some flamers here use FrontPage for their 'web development' tasks.
He just SAID he wanted to play Wow on a bus, that's pretty far out of the parents basement:P
Good for the MMO players out there, that find time to do something they enjoy rather than just work 9-5 for the man and play sally with their wife.
Forces?
If this goes through I vow to leave every last light and TV/Computer on in my house during these extra weeks. I won't stop there, I will open all the windows and turn the A/C all the way up while I go to work. Finally, I'll set the toilet to run non-stop and turn on all the sinks and tubs.
That'll teach these, these, um, time-assassins, to mess with my schedule!
Suck on that!
Now please excuse me while I go to the store in my SUV to buy tripple ply toilet paper and 10,000 styrofoam cups.
The concepts of online play and wireless for consoles have been around for ages. ( BEFORE 1995 ) Technology is just catching up and releasing it 'standard' much like cars come standard with A/C, antilocks, and automatics.
In the early to mid 90's, the Mega modem was first, before Sega TV and Edge 16 modems. The Mega Modem that was only released in Japan. This plugged into the EXT port at the back of the original Megadrive. A Sega game net was set up to use the system but was not a success. The Mega modem was due for release in America under the name "Tele-Genesis Modem". Three games were launched with the Mega modem Cyberball by Tengen and the two other games were a version of Mar Jong and a Baseball game. The instruction books for these games included the Mega modem manual in the back section.
I dabbled with online play on my Dreamcast. I think wireless remotes were optional for it as well?
Of course I played online on my PS2 a lot, it came out long before Xbox aye?
Anyways, there is your 'online' console history lesson.
"What makes it great is that everybody HAS a voice, and when we start talking about who should have a voice and who shouldn't we start to sound a lot like fascists"
My problem with you, and the spammers, is that I do not want your "voice" showing up in MY email inbox, dammit.
Some of these marketing agents I swear. They just spew the crap out of their mouths with absolutley NO idea what they are talking about.
Microshaft, an innovator?! Where has this giu been for the past 15 years! There is very little innovation these days, what has not already been done? Or thought of?
Just because there are 600 kung-foo movies does not mean that the newest one is not very good.
Its all pointless marketing crap on a stick.
Here is a senario for you Microsoft junkies...
Monday the 19th:
Installed windows XP from CD.
9:00am - apply Service Pack, restart machine.
10:00am - apply patch, restart machine
10:30am - connect to windows update, let updates run, patch, reboot
12:00pm - install MS Office.
12:30pm - patch office, reboot
1:00pm - install visual studio, patch, reboot, install add-on, reboot, reboot.
2:00pm - format drive, install redhat, run red-carpet, all patches installed, no reboot required.
4:00pm - relax.
Everyone cries about patches with linux now, but here is the simple fact, ITS NOT 'LINUX' YOU ARE PATCHING, its packages, they are not all part of the OS, but are services, applications, and tools.
Lets count the number of patches for every bit of software on your WinXX box, be sure to include all applications, from outlook express, to server services.
How about this, the OSS community could just "Hide" their real vicious bugs and holes until they hurt someone like MS does. Would that make you feel better? MS only patches about 1/2 or less of their bugs. Don't forget that on several occasions they have posted holes or bugs and stated " we do not have a fix date for this ".
On the other hand, the OSS community has a patch put together the same week as most announced exploits, if not within 24 hours.
BAH! @%^#! you Ballmer, you are nothing more than a marketing fool.
You'll have to excuse me, these kinds of comments get my blood boiling.
Grand Theft Auto is fun. It lets you just blow off whatever you think is wrong with the world and spend a few minutes causing total chaos and destruction.
I agree, can you imagine pulling another player out of his car and driving over them as you make your escape! That game HAS to be made muliplayer online. PLEASE ROCKSTAR GAMES, DO IT FOR PS2!

Thanks you over-explained the joke quite well.
Then there's the ultra top secret super duper one, aka "the boiler fire"
Have you seen the current status of the PSP's unsigned code protection? Cracked, Patched, Cracked, Patched, Cracked, Patched, Cracked, Cracked Better, A Shell added on, dual boot, downgrades, on and on. My guess: Easy
From the looks of the video it's graphics are WoW`style cartoony for char/npc models. Bah, well looks like it is Vanguard or bust!

I liked google back when all they did was search and had no ads. I like Apple, BSD, and still use my Windows PC heavily. Any other brain busters?

Creole and Propel.
Here's a picture, LoL.
You'd be a tool to buy this.
Yea I think we've proven that ignoring the threat works well for us.
They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!
Corsets are hot!
Yes

When compared to taking all those support calls via AT&T.
Average Joe user has a lot of pr0n. Joking aside, I agree. I'll be adding another 250gb here soon, much rather lose 1/3 of my data ( obvious ).
Pointing at the emperor and throwing rocks at his balls are two very different things. They could of just pointed. They went the rocks at balls path.
