Re:So long as
Mod parent as funny ^
Here is a link to all of the default passwords... What could be more secure than that?

Re:Remember kids, sync to cloud.
But if you sync to the cloud, that is, transmit your incriminating video from you registered phone through a cell provider who has your credit card information to a storage provider who also has your credit card information, the cops can show up at your door, follow your car, and get "in your face" until they find something to hang you with.

Re:It's broken
I feel your pain.
The aggressive policy of blocking executable files is hurting my shareware business.
I've come across quite a number of software company web sites that contain a page telling their customer their software is not Malware even though Chrome says it is. e.g., http://portforward.com/virus_h...
Also, they usually have a screen capture that shows you need to ignore the message "This file will harm your computer" and click the scary button that says "Hurt me plenty". e.g., https://www.outsystems.com/for...
As for me, I have an identical program hosted on two sites (It is a free version of a maze program I sell).
(1) http://www.puz.com/sw/amorphou...
(2) http://www.puz.biz/sw/amorphou...Interestingly, Chrome blocks (2) but not (1). This tells me that Chrome is probably making a decision based on the "popularity" of
the web site where the file is coming from. I.e., (2) is brand new, whereas (1) has been up for many years. -
Turn off WPS
Looks like it might be a good idea to turn off the WPS service if you can.
In my Billion 7800n I did this: http://screenshots.portforward.com/Billion/BiPAC_7800N/WPS.htm
If your router doesnt allow you to do that then in the LAN settings, block all ips not being used by your devices.

Re:Exactly what is the sploit?
http://portforward.com/ might help with a default list.

Re:non Linux based routers
"guessing default administrative" could be looked up and listed in their code via sites like
http://www.portforward.com/
Then just hope like a UFO hunter on a US mil network, its a default hunt. -
Re:Someone PLease Explain
You may want to try something called "Persistent Port Forwarding" by Microsoft, while my Actiontec router just calls it "Port Forwarding" as they don't seem to have any "Application Triggered Port Forwarding", it has other names like all things in computers. Here is a FAQ about this issue. Here is a site with more information on port forwarding.
One other thing that can kill your download speed is that your upload speed is to high. Since the BitTorrent protocol uses TCP your computer needs to send back a packet saying that you received a packet. If it can't do this the other computer will keep on sending that packet over & over again until your computer tells it that you have it. -
Re:well, I doubt it will be like that anymore
That's why you point them toward Port Forward.

Re:Speaking as a non-hacked Brit
That's good. Well good in theory. A Safecom's a Conexant router, same as the Origo ASR-series hawked by the optimistic to the gullible on eBay...
A good router shouldn't crash - ever. Crashy routers tend to drive people back to modems. (I'm an admin at Shameless plug - portforward.com, we see a lot of these!)
I'm glad one ISP at least is shipping a router, but I'd prefer it if they got some quality (Linksys or US Robotics) gear.... -
