Re: Because Linux sucks.
Native games or through Steamplay with Proton? I'm primarily use my PS4 for games, but I have tried a couple of games through Steamplay: Star Trek Online and Fallout 3.
Here's a database of games tested with Proton, which ones do or do not work. The number of working games keeps increasing over time
https://www.protondb.com/And here's the native Linux/SteamOS games page on Steam:

Re: Microsoft : You must update to have updates
50? I have 275 games in my Steam right now and thanks to Proton I've just finished both Dead Space games (too bad they never made a 3:d) and Doom 2016. At https://www.protondb.com/ there is a comprehensible list of the games that work with Proton/Steam Play and it's currently at 3867 working titles.

Re:Is Windows still viable as a development plafor
Agree with parent. ProtonDB/Wine looks good on paper, but really, doesn't support most of what I'd like to play. I haven't played half of the assassin's creed games yet
I play heroes of the storm daily, which works...only on lowest graphics settings.
gta 5 doesn't seem to work either, unless stuttering is acceptable. Pretty much anything that I would like to play has some major issues.
At least world of warcraft seems to work, which I've been considering playing again.I use lightroom for my hobby photography as well, which kind of works, but only when you are lucky.

Re:Is Windows still viable as a development plafor
On the home side, Linux is scary and doesn't run the right games.
Really?

Some report it broken, some report it working great. Give it a try and see how it goes for you.
