Anti-French elements sabotage US F1 Grand Prix!Mystery.
Sounds like a black bag job by certain neocon sanctioned elements who would just love to embarrass a French company on US soil.

Re:Still a sport?Since when F1 cars do not have power steering?. In the regulations for the 2005 F1 season, the FIA says:
Power assisted steering systems may not be electronically controlled or electrically powered. No such system may carry out any function other than reduce the physical effort required to steer the car.
It clearly prohibits the use of all-electrical steering, but not a mecanically asisted one -like any street car-. This is to avoid the risk of a power down failure and the consecuent inability to handle the car in any way.
The car industry has been holding this type of regulations as well and you won't be able to find a car without a means to drive it in case of total power failure
I've heard several F1 drivers that got their power steering broken while on race, and the nightmare it was to keep on the circuit trying to steer the car. -

Re:it will take a supercomputer...No.
At Albert Park in early March, Ferrari and Sauber had the same V10 engine.
New 'long life' rules meant last year's scarlet unit was not reliable enough to be fitted to the Sauber C23, so the customer team got works- spec Ferrari power. link ... they have however not gotten the same updates, but when this season started Ferrari and Sauber had the same engines.
That's how much difference the REST of the car makes! -
