One person mistakes the position of Science Advisor for Science Crusader and embarks to convert Bush to Evolutionism. In TWO paragraphs! Surely he knows that Bush is a devout Christian. He might as well be lobbying for bin Laden to be put in charge of Homeland Security on the basis that he's really a freedom fighter.

Another person tries to persuade Bush that animals should be considered to have rights as humans and that we should respect the diverse cultures of all animal/human civilizations. Nnngh? Bush is supposed to accept this on the basis of Darwinism. Umm, hellooo?? We're talking Bible-thumping Bush here. That line of argument is gonna fly like a dodo bird. In effect, the guy goes on to wield Occam's Razor against any notions of the Creator. His letter is going in the circular file faster than you can say W.

I don't think these [Over the] Edge people were playing along with the given scenario as they would've if it were real. Knowing who Bush is and what he stands for, it just doesn't seem very bright to even attempt some of the arguments they're making. Besides, you don't make a good first impression with your boss by attacking his most fundamental beliefs in your first correspondence before you even meet him.

On the way home yesterday I commented to my friend we should use PHP and MySQL and maybe a TK interface for drag and drop to develop an encrypted filesystem.. for storage only. So that it was password protected and such. You could put files into it and store them in BLOBS. You get the point. Anyway it is really funny to look here today and see something very similar. They're coming to take me away haha!

I was refering to my powerbook. I use the USB mouse at home and use the trackpad quite effectively on the road. My argument was the one mouse button complaint is unjustified. Use the modifier keys instead of other mouse buttons. doesn't seem to complicated to me.

I don't have a problem holding down control, option, or command when clicking my mouse button to modify it. Why do people always bitch about the one mouse button. Seems a nonissue to me. The constant complaint against it is old. If you don't like it get another mouse. I prefer one mouse button. I even have the external pro mouse where the entire thing is a button. I like it :)

1) Microsoft would probably put in a "feature" to let the vote swing with whoever promises not to mess with them when in office.

2) The government has an ANTI-TRUST case against Microsoft. Why would they trust them to make a voting machine.

yeah i posted it. oh well its become expected to see things like this. I post a story that finally gets accepted and it never sees the front page. goes straight to yro... a section that I never go to and a lot of others never do either. someone finally told me my story went up there. and now tacoboy posts this on the front page. its pretty typical. Check this out.
