i think the key here is that slashdot is becoming a joke in the tech news world. This was on digg early in the week or late last week. Seems like most of the stories that show up on slashdot are several days late from other news outlets. So the site has just become pointless. I still have a 'live bookmark' for slashdot and just clicked it to see what the headlines were. And there I see yet another story from digg from days past. That has happened to me at least twice in the last week.
They offer CD's on their site and say they will send out as many as you want. They seem to encourage you ordering lots since it costs the same to mail one as it does 20. I thought this was great. I could hand them out to people. Well I never got them. It has been months. I understand they might have some problems since it is a non-profit or whatever... but I guess I relied on their offer too much. Hopefully they are getting better.
yes because the drug war is a waste of money and time. they will never stop illegal drugs. people will do what they want. it isn't the government's place to tell a person what they can do with their body.
I hate kerry and bush. I am for Badnarik but I am glad someone is cheating and not paying attention to the rules. The rules are absolutely retarded and are geared to water down the debates as much as possible.
I am a sprint customer and I tried MobiTV. I cancelled after the first day and got a refund. In my mind it is a totally retarded idea for the following reasons:
1. It is way to small to make anything out.
2. it isn't loud enough coming out of the tiny little speaker on the back of the phone. Sure you can put in a headphone to hear it better but I don't have one with me at all times.
3. The backlight goes out after a couple of seconds so it is hard to see again... of course I could set my phone to always leave the backlight on... then I should be able to watch a 30 minute show before I have to charge again I guess.
4. The channels are beyond rediculous. I couldn't find anything worth watching.
5. This "TV" on the cell phone is more like a slideshow. There is no motion. At 9.99 this is an absolute ripoff.
opening your box probably won't void your warranty. They expect that you will be putting cards in it. In fact I believe when I had a Vaio, sony told me I could open it and add components. The warranty covers the items from manufacturers defect. So if a card just suddenly stops working then it will cover it. If you spill coffee all over it, it won't unless you buy the complete coverage plan. But this whole thing of not opening your box is retarded. I am sure you can open it and put in a good tv tuner card. I use the ATI TV Wonder
of some turn of the century russian color photos using the same or a similar technique. I like that people thought of doing stuff like this back then. It is amazing to see in color what things looked like back then. I think there are some from early in the 20th Century in New York online somewhere as well.
I opened a very detailed image of a 50 dollar bill yesterday to create this for a fark photoshop contest. It didn't stop me from opening the much larger picture of the 50 and copying it into the jobs/mayer picture. I used PhotoshopCS. Guess this story is bogus.
Well it is the idea that really matters. As more and more musicians get word of this, the more likely you will be to find good music. It will just take time but this is definately a step in the right direction. This gives the artists so much more potential to prosper from their music. My friends in the Genitorturers quit their label and formed their own. They are making a LOT more money than they did with Cleopatra but aren't getting distributed as much. They have a huge fan base so it is still working out but something like this would have been ideal for a band like them.
I have Simpsons Road Rage for PS2 and it is indeed fun. You drive around and run into people or things. From the description of this review I thought they were talking about that game for a minute. Are all the new simpsons games going to be driving games? Interesting.
lots of people. remember when their stock took a hit a year or so ago and people were wondering what the fate of apple would be? then also remember that news came out they had over 12 billion in cash assets. yeah apple is a huge company. they may not have market share yet in the OS world but they are a very very large company. make no mistake.
I gave up waiting for a reply so I went ahead and loaded it. So to answer my own question in case anyone else was wondering... It runs perfectly fine with IOXperts drivers.
Or it may be that they make an OS that works and every product they make is pleasing to the eye as well as fun to use. Couldn't be that could it though? So they don't want their product to be turned into a new kazaa via a plugin to their product. It is their right.

Another part of the beauty of 24 that some seem to miss is the good guys use macs, the bad guys use pcs. I think they were dells infact. :)
