Re:$499
Sorry I was so crass before, but the Wii has been out forever, and how you didn't know these things were included is beyond me... But I included a link that shows a Wii Box with a rather prominent marker to indicate Wii Sports being included. This matches my Wii Box (along with all the rest sold in the US).

Re:How long
Remember the original Nintendo's game mat, the PowerPad? You could use it with an Olimpics themed game and compete in track and field events. I recall kneeling on the floor and smacking the pressure spots with my hands to achieve unrealistic scores.
I think maybe something like this may make a venture into the trendy excercise market. If they can sell a big ball for a hundred bucks, they can sell a Wii controller too.
This begs the now cliche question: Why not just go outside and play the actual sport? Alas, there is not a chance in hell. -
Re:This is What I See
Lack of space?
A cheap shelving unit would solve that problem. I got a nice metal shelving unit (similar to this but with only three shelves) a while back that looks good and holds quite a bit of stuff. Plus, it's completely open so I don't have to worry about heating issues like with a fully enclosed "media center" rack (I never understood why you'd put hot, sensitive electronics in a fully enclosed rack).
Finite number of inputs into my TV?
Get a mux. My current personal favorite is the AA1154 component switch. If you don't need component, you can get switches for composite/s-video or even DVI (and thus HDMI, since the two convert back and forth easily). Granted, the Audio Authority switches are expensive, but there are many PRODUCTS&cm_ite=1%20PRODUCT&cm_keycode=4">other options out there depending on the feature you want and the price you're willing to pay.

Hack USB... or spend 9 bucks.Instead of hacking together a USB charger, you *could* always go to your favorite large consumer electronics store and pick up a Pelican GBA SP USB charger for $9.00. It's exactly the same as the DS, and it even comes with a spiffy 12V-USB adapter thingy for use in the car.
Yes, I have verified that it works, and I didn't have to kill a perfectly good spare power cord or USB cord, and hope that I matched the colors right.

Re:USB Gameboy/DS power cablesUh, I got one at Gamestop made by Pelican. Also lets me plug it into a cigarette lighter in the car.
Why do I need to get one from Hong Kong again?
