Re: Giant Trap
Because paper straws do not exist? Of course if disabled people need to use a plastic straw instead of any of the alternatives, they can carry some with themselves though it would be a good idea for restaurants to keep a supply on hand for their disabled customers.
This is very likely the only time the AC expresses any interest in the problems of the disabled, when it is an excuse to say "fucking liberals". If someone were to suggest that laws require restaurants to keep a supply of plastic straws for the disabled the AC would probably post to denounce those "fucking liberals" imposing snowflake requirements on "the market".

Re:Alternative?
They can still be plastic, and still be biodegradable.
This looks like a job for potato dextrose based plastics, or even PLA.

A buck and a half? What kind of fancy-ass spoons do you expect people to use for takeout?

How about 12 for a buck in tiny quantities?
And that's without even shopping for a deal on 500 or 1000 of them...

Re:This is a good thing.I make pizza all the time. I buy 50lb bags of flour at costco. $16, good for 50 pizzas. I use spaghetti sauce and buy in large cans. One can costs $1 and will make three pizzas. Mozzarella cheese is $14/kg, and use about 500g. Pepperoni is another $1.
$1+$.30+$4+$1.50 = $7 (ultra conservatively)

Re:God of the Gaps
Um, no. God only shrinks if you're explanation for every problem is "God did it". If that's why you believe in a deity, then you miss the point of faith.
To make the point differently, just because I know exactly how a chair was built, it doesn't mean that I stop believing that a carpenter built it.
I will accept your poor analogy on one condition. That this is the chair you are referring to in your analogy.
