The left aren't the ones making travel bans for muslims.

Islam is the most intolerant, violent, and supremacist religion on Earth. Sane people want to limit immigration, which is not a right, from this violent and supremacist culture. The left wants to import them in massive numbers, and will call you an "Islamophobe" and "xenophobe" if you don't.

They aren't the ones ostracizing LGBT people.

The left wants 99.9% of society to re-engineer itself to recognize the delusions of the 0.1% of transgender people. Some guy "identifies" as a woman, and he wants to hang out with biological women with his male genitalia hanging out.

They aren't the ones advocating for police brutality.

Black Lies Matter was a phony narrative that did not stand up to scrutiny. The end result has been dead cops and more dead blacks due to less policing in crime-ridden neighborhoods.

They aren't the ones trying to disenfranchise minorities from voting.

The left wants to disenfranchise American citizens by flooding the country with illegals and making it harder to reserve rights for American citizens. That's why they put up a big stink when the US Census was going to ask about citizenship status, because they're afraid illegals won't be counted for congressional representation and the electoral college.

By the way, even the majority of minorities support voter id laws.

They aren't the ones pushing against womens rights to control their reproductive systems.

Just ignore the human life that's terminated by these "womens rights".

Yes, I think harassing people in public, hounding them out of their jobs, and shutting down their free speech events is massively intolerant.

When over 90% of black people and the majority of other minorities vote for the left it's because they think (correctly) that the right is actively working against them.

Didn't they have some guy stay at someone's house and that someone was a crazy, transgendered, rapist who threatened them with a knife and stuff? Actually, I think the owner was the crazy dude's mother or something. Anyhow, another mother was oddly involved and she was the mother of the victim and she called the company trying to rescue her son because he'd called her expressing concern and not called back so this company wouldn't give her the number or address where the kid was staying because of privacy reasons and refused to call the cops. I think that's how the story goes.

I suspect searching more reveals the rest. Also, it turns out it was a text message to his mother and not a phone call. He was in Madrid, Spain. I'm kind of surprised the publicity didn't do them harm. I wonder if there is still fallout coming? The host claims it was consensual. Who knows what the actual truth is but, damn it, I knew I'd heard of this company before! Hah! I'm not entirely out of touch.

That's an even better story for the Pinochle tables.

At my former high school two kids found out the network admins password and were able to remotely change the homepage for every computer on the network. They changed it to *NSFW www.meatspin.com *NSFW . (The site's name explains it all... with Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" playing)

I think originally they were facing computer hacking charges, desiminating porn to minors, and even some sort of fraud allegations. I don't know what finally came of the legal proceedings but they did end up missing graduation and face suspensions.

Inappropriate? Yes. Criminal? I don't think so.

Some time in your forties, the lens in your eye gets less and less plastic, until you can't focus at all. That's when you need reading glasses. I wore reading glasses over my contact lenses for the last 3 years (before that I pulled my nearsightedness glasses down my nose to focus).

I got a CrystaLens implant in my left eye a week and a half ago (I have super eyes now, and they're getting better; at present my distance vision 20-16 and shooting for 20-10. My eyes were worse than 20-400 before the operation). I'm just getting to where I can read, but it's a strain and I can only read for maybe a half hour at a time before I can't focus.

The eye surgeon has given me eye exersizes to strengthen the unused focusing muscles in my eye.

There is a drawback to having better eyesight than a 20 year old; God gives geezers bad eyes for a reason. Beer goggles are a lot more expensive now, and I'm going to have to get a younger girlfriend!

I had an IT professor at Babson College who insisted that an employee that was only going to use a word processor and email REQUIRED a Pentium 4 with an 80 gig hard drive, etc.

I argued with him over that. His argument was that the more expensive computer would "last longer" because it would take longer before it became "obsolete."

I told him that if "it ain't broke, don't fix it. " Or, in other words, it would make just as much sense to buy the cheaper computer and simply not upgrade to the latest versions of Windows and Office whenever they come out. If the employee only does "basic" tasks, as described, any old software will do, and the hardware itself doesn't get slower over time.

Anyway, he still insists he was right. He also doesn't know the difference between a Pentium and a Celeron processor. I transferred - best thing I ever did.
