In which case he should have been on K2 which is the more challenging by all accounts. But with Everest you just have to drop the money and it can get you to the top with the least amount of effort.

Re:Count cards
I was also confused how this could work in holdem. After some googling it appears that "counting" in poker only refers to certain stud games where hands ahead of you are exposed.
In holdem the only (?) additional info you could have over a competitor is if someone in early position folded and revealed their cards (obviously uncommon). That's info that the small blind wouldn't have had, and could be very useful if you're in late position, especially on the button. But imo that's not really "counting", just gaining info to craft your betting strategy.

The $8/month is sort of a subsidized rate as they attempt to build out the business and run at a loss or near break even point. I'm sure that long term growth and profitability of their service will come with monthly fees of $15+/month...and people will happily pay it. It's worth that much even now.

True and not saying Valve should do anything to Nvidia. But alliances are complicated in general and pretty shaky with respect to Microsoft. Remember that Nvidia first held the Xbox contract and now Xbox is AMD based. Also, Microsoft managed to alienate every single one of their old partners by promising not to compete with them in hardware and then did Windows Phone and Surface which pretty much shattered the age old alliances and trust with Intel, Dell, HP, and the rest of the Microsoft cottage industry. CEOs with a memory longer than a goldfish should be wary of actively seeking an alliance with Microsoft because they are scared of some other smaller company that has earned respect from its users.

Let me clarify. All the standard size American Standard tubs are 42 gallons. I also went to the Kohler site and they are the same.
178 gallons / 42 gallons/bathtub ~= 4.24 bathtubs

"Show us adblock can do more for added speed, security, reliability, & anonymity than hosts can, + that adblock does it more efficiently than hosts"

Just to clarify; Kerberos is a network specification related to authentication and commonly used with Windows; its name is an obvious reference to the greek / roman mythology. I simply used it because its pronounciation is well known (at least to IT guys), and is almost exactly how cerberus is pronounced (at least, as I recall my latin teacher pronouncing it all those years ago).

That is in Italian. Classical latin does not use "c" for soft "tch" sounds; so an Italian would indeed say "vitchi", but Caesar would have said "Wiki". So "AFFICIÓ" would be pronounced "AFIKIO", not "AFITCHIO" (/af.fi.ki.o/).
I am seeing claims that there is an Ecclesiastical Latin (presumably used in the church) which WOULD have the pronounciations you say-- but that is not Classical Latin.
In fact, wikipedia seems to corroborate this:

I'm reminded of the old bag of glass SNL skit - some products (or product features) are just plain dangerous, and saying "but we explain the risks in page 17 of the manual" isn't a good excuse.
How much effort would it take to set defaults that (1) disable anonymous FTP for addresses outside of the local subnet, and (b) inject a fake robots.txt that prevents search engine indexing? And then add an explanation of the risks if you try to disable those defaults?
