    Bitcoin is not "untraceable", else many companies like IBM, Oracle, and a slew of startups would not be selling blockchain analytics tools. There are unraceable cryprocurrencies, like Monero and ZCash. But Bitcoin? No.

    If you want privacy, use https://z.cash/ - which gives users the option of encrypting their transactions on the blockchain so that the amount, sending and receiving addresses are only known to the sender and receiver - yet zero knowledge proofs ensure that no value can be arbitrarily created or destroyed.

    Bitcoin would disappear tomorrow if there was an actually anonymous (Bitcoin isn't even really anonymous) way of sending literally anything of value.

    BTC should be reasonably anonymous if you take the appropriate precaution of either mining your own currency or paying for BTC with cash. There are also other newer currencies like Zcash that are designed from the ground up to tackle the privacy issue.
