Re:It's ok...
Something that stirred up a lot of nostalgia in regards to classic RPG music can be found here http://www.hcn.zaq.ne.jp/cabic508/rsf/
It's a remake of Final Fantasy 3 using consoles instead of characters, and although it had me laughing out loud, it wouldn't have been the same without the music. -
All i have to say is....
Hope its ready for an epic battle! http://www.hcn.zaq.ne.jp/cabic508/rsf/frame1.html

Re:Dual processor emulation...
Funny that you link to the Giri Giri FAQ and then state that there is "no decent Saturn emulator".
While it may not be free, the Giri Giri project has progressed into a very decent emulator capable of running commercial games and is part of Cyber Disc.
It does require a 2+ GHz PC to run, but it does work. With a hack you can get it to play your old Saturn discs. -
Re:You know...
Sega has probably been the most emu friendly, but thats not exactly an endorsement. As I recall, they settled their suit against a popular Genesis emulation by building Sega PC Sonic fun packs that are built on the author's emulation technology. And then the saturn has just been too rare (and large) and unheard of for emulation, let alone market exploitation.
There's at least two working Sega Saturn emulators and the second one is even used commercially.
Satourne : runs around 40-50 playable games.
(Ex-) Project Girigiri: The project is now discontinued, in a way. Sega hired the GiriGiri team (=a programmer named "MEGADEATH") to further develop the emu for their Saturn games service at Cyber Disc. -

Re:Its all about the pentiumsIt's a bug in the Win 95/8 API. You can crash windows by accessing a device that is already in use - "con" stands for "console". It also works with clock, com, lpt, nul etc.
There are more details here and there are links to patches available from Microsoft's Secutiry Alert page.
