Slackware 8.1 rc1 Announced
Demerol writes with word that "about 12 hours ago, Patrick announced the that Slackware is now in Release Candidate stage in preparation for the long-awaited 8.1 release. Hundreds of updated to the current tree in the last few months have had all the slackers drooling, and now it is almost upon us. Now, I don't want to hear any more talk of Slackware being dead. Thanks. ;) Here is the ChangeLog
and the Userlocal announcement"
Did anyone read that report explaining that Slackware now has fewer users than BSD -- somewhere in the region of 2 to 4 of them?
The only distro more outdated, behind the times, and just stubbornly stuck on stupid than debian is slackware.
okay, what newb submitted this to /.? the whole beta/rc thing has become a running joke, and this submitted to to /.. brilliant.
Yeah, well I showed your girlfriend something else, and now she's really ready to learn.
man all these terror alerts are starting to piss me off.
I wake up every morning hoping our muslim friends have dismissed another large batch of capitalist pigs to hell, but i check the news and nothing happened.
If a bunch of capitalist exploiters don't die in huge attack soon i'm gonna be pissed.
who wants to use a distro made by some drunk, potato eating, bagpipe playing, me-lucky-charms-hiding mic?
Coons meaning niggers? I hunt niggers.
... this was the mandatory linux/Opensource-updatenews of the day, no more this shit today.
