Wal-Mart Lindows PCs Selling Well

andyring writes "CNN.com is reporting that sales of the $199 PCs have exceeded expectations. Although CNN terms them "full fledged, if low power," it seems customers don'd mind all that much if their computer does not run Windows and doesn't carry an Intel processor. Slashdot covered two reviews of those machines July 4."

If you want to get a cheap computer to install a pirated copy of windows on, its cheaper to build one yourself, or get something from some no-name shop on pricewatch
The pc's there are cheaper and better than the junk you get at Walmart.
And you still ended up paying for an operating system -- to Lindows.

So, I don't think many people will be following your example.
Although you might make a good example in the M$ vs Lindows suit for the prosecution!

Oh, you nerds and your misplaced sarcasm.

A faster processor (and/or hard drive, more memory) will make your Internet experience faster. End of story.

What turnip truck did you just fall off of that you think the only component of web surfing is your link speed?
