Truck Dismount One-Ups Stair Dismount
The Herman writes "The free Stair Dismount game from tAAt for the PC was a big underground hit, and now there's a even better sequel: Truck Dismount.
This program does a full-body crash simulation, with the crash-test dummy being smashed into a wall with a truck this time round." This sequel is almost more fun than the much-loved original, if that's even possible.
Then why has hardly anybody ever heard of it? There are very, very few freeware games that ever become popular.
Repeal the DMCA!
Perhaps the poster meant that nearly all of the people who encounter the game enjoyed it thoroughly, rather than many people encountered it. I find nothing strange about the statement.
...than the work I was doing.
You're retarded, there are two giant links on the first screen of the website.
If there were an option for a seatbelt, this might be considered educational software, since it would be a good demo of the difference between using one and not using one. Then again, every one would turn it off to get a higher score and we wouldn't want our entertainment to be educational.
taat should stick to demos, these games are boring and braindead
Oh man the only thing that could make this better would be if the truck caught fire at the end.
Looks like I have a new favourite game.
If only you could save movies - I've got it so the guy sits on the roof, slides to the back as the truck goes up the ramps, gets bounced into the air then batted against the wall by the roof of the truck. He lends, then the truck lands its rear wheels on him. Superb!
tAAt games are golden. I recently checked also some of their demos which were quite funny as well!
Don't you just hate it when you're sitting in a truck and random parts of your body start getting horribly injured for no reason? I know I do!
This game is stupid. The original was nice, it was fun to try to get him to hit more steps with more bodyparts with more force. In this one, he's just sitting there in the car and is taking damage. Watching a car go in a straight line while the dummy's various parts randomly turn red and a number increases is not fun. It could be fun crashing him into a wall in new and interesting ways, but if he's being hurt before he runs into the wall at 1 mile an hour, it kinda ruins it. Don't bother downloading this one, just push the guy down some stairs more- he won't take damage until he actually hits a stair.

Flamebait means that it baits others to flame. The above posting does no such thing. It is, quite simply, a review which looks at this peice of horrid crap in unfavorable light. You fuckwit.

When I run the windows installer, my PestPatrol software reports "Family Key Logger 1.10" as being run - anyone else get that?
I did check out and thoroughly enjoy the original... don't remember this happening then =/
Seems to be the best way to get huge scores is to have him bash against the windshield and rattle around in there.
... at least people won't rattle around inside their cars until they die, and can enjoy the true freedom of flying before landing on a fire hydrant.
Let's learn from this and eliminate windshields from cars
If I could make this sig kill you, I would.
I think there should be an OJ simpson edition
Rekkaturvat is one of the 11 entries to this years Assembly demoparty gamedev competition. The party starts on the August 7th, but all the gamedev entries are already available for download.
Is configuring every *just right* so that the hapless character gets pole-vaulted clean over the wall. Anyone else have some favorites?
Though it would be nice if the X/Y axis sliders for the ramps moved in the same direction relative to the ramps themselves. Or maybe they could replace the wall with a wood chipper? :D
On another note though, there used to be a program I used at school, forget the name, which let you setup whole scenes that operated with the laws of physics, it was 2D, and you could have forces, pulleys, whatever. You could make joints between pieces so you could model a human, have them get struck by bullets, etc. You could also make little scenes that you could control on the fly, so you could make a game where you tried to land an airplane for example. Very VERY cool program. Anybody know the name of it? It was for the mac I believe.

I emailed the author about adding the ability to export replays, and he answered:
I didn't have time to include that functionality, but I hope I have time to add it to a future version.
Something I am definitely looking forward to!
Sorry for not putting that info in my story. I just din't know it.. maybe i should research a bit more. I will defenately be watching tAAT for more games :)
