I got one for $150 at Best Buy and have been very satisfied aside from my normal android complaint of the home/back buttons taking up a whole strip of the interface space at the bottom of the scren.
I'm pretty sure he's just trolling. I mean, how can you type "lete[sic]"? Did the kid spell it out right there? How could the kid's spelling error be intentional?
Well, this is the first of the next gen consoles to make me sit up and actually wonder when it was being released. Any idea when it will actually be out?
I could imagine some pretty sweet rhythm games with two controllers.
I only dread the WarioWare that comes out for this. That game would probably result in countless broken controllers from trying to flip it or spin it or whatever.
The farmers don't even get the flak, though. The bots that do the farming for them aren't attended until they need to be navigated back to sell things off. I know I love arguing with bots as much as the next person, but perhaps it is not so effective to even gripe at them.
Ugh. I didn't even see that part of the Q&A. Looks like I'll need to fake a reciept..
From just reading the PDF I had been under the impression that you needed the supporting documentation only if you didn't have the physical drive/serial number.
Getting Slashdotted makes me feel like... a) getting mugged in a dark alley b) a driveby shooting c) a black friday sale d) i'm a proletariat being taken advantage of by the bourgoisie e) an iraqi in baghdad 18 months ago f) a marine in mosul now G) a 16 year old girl
You should probably contact cowboyneal to complain that your subject line is being cut off and violating your free expression and intention to use the word 'and' anywhere you can. I mean, you've got the whole page, right?
I don't see how something being on the internet suddenly frees it of all space and headlining constraints. Welcome to the future, I guess.
Have you even considered what other formats these headlines end up in?
I saw the story because my RSS reader popped the headline up for me. There are also a lot of news aggregator sites that have even less space than a single column to work with. Do the Slashdot editors still have a 'whole page' to work with? How big is a 'whole page' on the interweb?
Also, I think if you ever complained to a legitimate news source(which I don't consider/. to be), they'd probably have a good laugh before tossing your letter in the mail or dropping your e-mail address in the spam filter.
Good points, but I'm going to save my mod points due to the boo hooing about being an elite oldschool slashdot user. Waaah, Waah, I have such a low user number that I'm superior to everybody else.
I'm sure we will find out that some well meaning individual at Lycos added torrent tracking sites to their DoS list because, hey, if spamming is bad, then pirating is worse, right?
Left my cell phone in my pants about 8 months ago and sent it through an entire wash cycle and half a dry cycle before I realized it was missing and was probably what was clunking in the drier.
I took it out, let it dry for about 4 days and it finally turned on again with just a little problem with the 9 key. To this day I still have to press the 9 a little harder to make it register, but it did survive a double rinse, the detergent, and a dry cycle.
This Asus MEMO Pad 7 is essentially the late 2014 Nexus - just not branded as such..

Keep reading. There is a 16th Amendment.

I miss the quickies. Where's the love?
How I envy samzenpus the ability to get paid for mocking books that he apparently writes at a lower level than.
Superior airs don't work when you come off as an illiterate jackass.
Is Slashdot trying to get more of the Something Awful audience?
If the books are so awful, just toss them. Don't subject us to these crap reviews. It's almost as bad as having Jon Katz back..
Did you go to UIUC?
There will be a demo available at www.everybody-dies.com soon. It just hasn't been created by the developers yet.
"I'll believe it when I stop seeing so many pudgy male groupies."
That's like saying you'll believe in NASCAR when you stop seeing all the mullets and beer cans.

Feel free to send me the serial numbers and I'll send you the refund money - minus a middleman's fee of course. :)
Maybe that should be the next Slashdot poll.

It's sad when a Slashdotter is so desperate for attention that they pretend to be a girl. I thought that crap didn't happen outside of MMOs.
Does that really work, or is this just a troll?

Man, I'm bored today.

Oh, I managed to get a hit with the google terms "in a world" "movie trailer". I guess it helps that I've heard the guy's name before.

Here's a text interview with him.

And here's a radio interview with him.

I can't seem to find the NPR interview, though.
Does anybody know the name of that narrator?
The terms I'm googling are too generic to bring up any useful info.
It's just headlining tradition.
Go gripe at every newspaper in the world - don't they have the whole width of the page, too?
I'd feel sad for the newspaper that only had half a page or so to work with.
That was a joke. I'm over half a million. You, on the other hand, are only at 24k.
Yeah, I was hoping for some irony there.
I feel so old.
Where am I? What was this threat about again?
Damn kids.

The recording industry will NEVER allow the online sale of an un-DRM'd digital audio file.
Odd. http://www.theymightbegiants.com/ appears to offer completely DRM free album downloads.
