Metal Gear Solid's Rex & Ray in Lego Blocks
IllogicalStudent writes "Justin "Saber-Scorpion" Stebbins has created lego models based on themes from Metal Gear: Solid, Metal Gear: Solid 2, Star Wars, Halo, Lord of the Rings, Mechwarrior, and others. His work with the Metal Gear: Solid series, especially, have gained him recognition from Hideo Kojima himself."
Is there some kind of hand soap you can use when this happens?
He's definitely going to need a job to pay for the excess bandwidth generated by the /. effect.
Is this thread conclusive proof that /.ers are nerds that couldn't get laid if we tried?

He made them look -exactly- like the game looks on my old TV!
It wasn't slashdotted when I first looked at it, and I'm not a subscriber. So i can only assume a greater degree of the slashdot populace is out getting laid right now than previously expected.

The *cough* life-like *cough* version of HanSolo in carbonite is just a big slap of Lego, with credit to the face-part of it.

I guess nowadays that if you made a paper-mache hat of DarthVader or Gandalf, you will reach the frontpage.
Someone at least please tell me he didn't do any of this sober...
The Metal Gear models are nice, but the recreations of scenes with the little people is what really does it for me.
Those responsible for the posting of this link and subsequent slashdotting of the site have been sacked.
The site has now been mirrored by karma whores on numerous different hosts at great expense and at the last minute.
I hereby propose an addition to the HTTP status codes for the 418 Slashdotted response. This response code MAY also automatically request that the clients operator place a temporary mirror online for a 24 hour period.

In all honesty, just because a guy can throw together some crappy models and paint a minifig doesn't make him a genius. Brickshelf had some image of a MUCH better looking REX. This is really amateur work. Heck, look at the supposed Warthog. I've seen better MOCs from shaking up a box.
I didn't know that Mechs came with air horns for battlefield use... Maybe I could get a Mad Cat that plays "La Cucaracha"...that would be so sweet...
...though i'm sure a ceast and desist letter from Hideo Kojima was a flattering (and terrorizing) part of the lego-maniac's experiences in the world of metal gear mind-control conspirancies and plot-ran-amok.
