Hitchhiker's Guide Trailer Online
Jeremy Rayner writes "The 2005 Hitchhiker's movie trailer is available in AVI or RealMedia formats. The movie trailer doesn't reveal anything, but looks cool.
Personally I'm looking forward to the new Radio 4 series in September for which you can hear an mp3 preview."
That didn't give me a good feeling. Stylish, sure, but a bit lacking in substance. I hate the way they just stuck "42" in the corner without any reason. It's like they thought they'd just chuck it in for "geek cred", even though it makes no sense. I hope the whole film isn't like that; lots of style, no substance, and the occasional thing that doesn't really makes sense, but attempts to make fans feel clever for noticing it.
Here
..
:) - i've been looking forward to these for a long time, they were originally due to begin airing in February of this year but some licensing issues with the movie delayed that.
The original cast (unfortunately without the late Peter Jones), a cameo by Douglas Adams himself
And for those of you who aren't in the UK, you may appreciate knowing that Radio 4 make their programs available on their website for a week after the broadcast.
Unfortunately they're still in crappy real media format, but mplayer deals with them fine.
About time too
It's getting Slashdoted, so lets Spoil the Trailer:
Background music is (What A) Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong, and story is following lyrics from the music.
Blue stars, clouds, light/sun, then unzooming and showing our pretty little planet.
And then.... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, Earth exlodes!
Familiar title "DON'T PANIC" shows...
Good job :).
Here are some pictures of Marvin's Costume, there's confirmation they're real in this interview.

Reference: Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World" was the music played at the very end of the 1980 BBC TV series.
Easter Egg: Watch the upper-left corner of the screen at the end of the trailer.

The '42' floating in the stars on the upper-left side near the end was a nice touch.
