"Bad" is a subjective term that I intentionally used. Anticompetitive behavior that is beneficial to someone could be seen as "good" while at the same time seem "bad" to someone else.
Being a monopoly does not necessarily mean all of its behavior is monopolistic. Uncompetitive behavior by a monopoly can sometimes be illegal and bad. Being a monopoly is not illegal or even necessarily bad.
I ended up going back to suse after a week+ of tweaking fedora core 6 config files trying to get out of the box apps running. They may have my ip address but I'm not running it anymore... and won't be again any time soon.
You should do more research before posting regurgitated untruths about Ford (and GM). You come across as quite irresponsible and foolish. Prior to this summer, I had never been to Santa Monica California. I did however play Grand Theft Auto San Andreas where the landscape was modeled after southern California. When I got to Santa Monica Beach I had a chilling deja vu experience that I had been there before. At the water's edge I wanted to get up on to Santa Monica Pier but from a distance it looked like one had to walk across a bridge. Then I "remembered" there was a set of stairs going up from the beach. I walked up to the pier from the beach and sure enough, there were the stairs just like I remembered from the game. I couldn't stop thinking about that all day.
If NPR wants to beg for money from listeners, it should have to compete in the open market. I shouldn't be forced to support them, at any amount.
Imagine a US and A with an a la carte tax and deficit spending system... we wouldn't have to pay for any more international military adventurism, tax credits to corporations, bridges to nowhere, haut congressman-on-page action, and No Bid contracts with Haliburton or the Carlyle Group.

Please do not use the image of Mt. Rushmore with the caption "They'd download it..." in your OOo ad. It is an unprofessional and inappropriate attribution to people who cannot speak for themselves. US-centric jingoism will most likely not appeal to an international audience and certainly alienate the enlightened... which is probably your target audience. Moreover, it is logically false because the USA founding fathers could not and cannot use OOo. I support your effort in obtaining more publicity for OOo but please do reconsider your current design.
1) You can't drive a car unless you have proven that you posess a minimum level of competency.
I like parts of your analogy but I have an issue with the wording of this point. One can drive a car if they can physically operate it. The legality of the action is only in question if the driver and car are not properly licensed by a state via certification (and in some states proof of insurance) which is the core of your point. However my distinction is an important one for your critical thinking skills and perhaps also your point: governments cannot grant rights, they can only take them away.
The US government has no regulation or process for the reporting on or the tracking of jobs being outsourced to foreign countries. Any number or fact provided by anyone is an uneducated guess. Moreover, the number reported will most likely be favorable to whatever position the reporting entity supports.
If you want to make a shitload of money in the next 5 to 10 years get your ass to southeast Asia.
