It's Just the 'internet' Now?
This morning Wired News announced that 'web', 'net', and 'internet' will no longer be capitalized in their stories. Is this the next logical step after ditching 'e-mail' in favor of 'email' , or should the global computer network still be treated with a proper name? So will the "title" for the Slashdot topic icons be changed to reflect this? Or would that be considered a "principal word"?
And yet another action meant to piss off the Germans. (For those who don't know, in Germanium, the official language of Germania, they avoid the problem of capitalization of nouns by capitalizing all of them.)

Who's "we"? Americans who think there is only one president in the world? Actually, there's well over 100 nations with presidents. And secondly, what's with capitalising "The"?
