He does have a point, atleast as I see it. Portable devices seem to be moving in a direction of doing everything, rather than having one dedicated purpose (blackberry is an example of this IMHO) and unless apple starts to put out an appliance that appeals to a wider crowd, I can see them getting pushed out of the market but larger companies. I'm not saying that they'll be microsoft though(or microsoft powered even)
Sonic Mayhem? I was always under the opinion that it was Rob Zombie. Take the lyrics off of Astrocreep, and it sounds exactly like the quake 2 soundtrack.
"It's like putting a server into a refrigerator.
Makes no sense too.But has no heat-problems."
Dude. You are so far from being in the light. A server in a fridge. Snacks?=Beer?=Server? That means, when some little kid breaks the print server, you can actually get excited about going to go fix it.
One should simply hit Mars with a comet. It would make the planet warmer, and assuming that comets are infact made of frozen water and other liquids, it would add water to the atmosphere, so that it would become more ideal for life. Now keeping that atmosphere on the planet.. big magnets?
I got a Creative Nomad Xtra for Christmas, and I have been very satisifed with it thus far. I needed to upgrade the firmware to get the most out of my player, but so far I've shown it to my friends and they are most jealous as I paid the better part of $100 less for a 40 gig mp3 player then they paid for their Ipods.
Is anyone besides Doom fans going to want to see this movie anyway? With all the "Doom Kills Children" stuff from soccer moms and such I don't think it's going to go through to all that wide of an audience, I mean, most of the people I, uh, "knew" in high schools wouldn't want to see a movie based off of a computer game because it was dorky. The only people who are going to want to see this movie, as far as I can tell is Doom fans, Hollywood should know this, why dissapoint?

Are you serious? How is that posts that basically people whining that these articles aren't relevant to them keep getting modded up?
Slashdot: News for Nerds, Stuff that Matters
Do you seriously think that the newest debian release matters as much as international affairs?
The site advertises itself as "Stuff that Matters"; guess what. This obviously matters.
Were you people complaining about this when the posts on 9/11 came up?
I think you people need to get your priorities straightened out. Get off your damn computer.
Yeah, because holding down keys on the keyboard is a whole lot more intuitive than clicking the other button on the mouse when something dosen't work.
I always say that. "listen to Reason" very few people get it. Stupid luddites.

Like having all of the weapons do a rediculous amount of damage?

You mean that I don't have to goto the mall anymore to buy games? What have I lost here? I'm only seeing this as a good thing.
I skipped class for a week to Watch Deep Space Nine. I have a problem.
Is there like one person that we can call "the music industry"? If there is I totally think we should find them and kill them... to make a statment.
Isn't that the blue ape from Rouge Trader that makes tools for the imperium using it's many digited fingers?
Isn't there a Microwave powerplant in Simcity 2000? Why don't they just use that. God. Idiots!
Anybody else think that it's about time apple got off it's high horse and admitted that having a two button mouse is much more versitile?
Not suing Rockstar?
Wouldn't that be pretty useless? Instead of removing thier own apps shouldn't they just put effort in fixing them?

Well, I don't think I've seen to many non-portable toasters.
How does one get to be a "Renowned Mac user" or a "Renowned computer user"? Saving Orphans?
They had computers back in the 60s? Wasn't that like one hundred years ago?

I'd pay a Hundred Dollars to watch a big screen adaptation of that comic.
My collector's edition didn't come in a tin box! I feel jipped.
