New Comet for the New Year

spac3manspiff writes "The news has several stories about a fairly new comet named Comet Machholz discovered by Don Machholz. The comet will be able to be seen in the sky on Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 or Jan. 5 through 8. Along with the comet's appearance: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will all be able to be seen with a naked eye this month. However, you will need binoculars to see the comet."

    That so many heavenly bodies will be visible leads one to suspect whether the gravitation pull of those bodies may have been just "so" to irritate the surface of the earth, causing the recent tsunami.

    Dr. Michael Savage noted on his New Year's Eve radio program that some religious clerics believe that the tsunami was God's vengeance against the prostitutes of Thailand and the Muslims of the affected areas. The southern tip of Thailand is a brothel of pedophilia, and you already know about the Islamic fascists. Dr. Savage asked, "Did God kill the Muslims to avenge 9/11?"

    On a more serious note, Japan has just pledged $500 million for aid to Southern Asia. The USA has pledged $350 million plus hundreds of millions in indirect aid (e.g. sending a naval task force to do search and rescue).

    China? The Chinese donated roughly $0.00.
