Blizzard Adds Tinfoil Hat to Solve Armory Complaints

SlashRating© 70 slashdottit! tm A blue post on the WoW forums shows that blizzard's official stance on player aversion to the Armory will be addressed by adding a new item, the Tinfoil Hat. "While the Tinfoil Hat provides the wearer with added protection against mind control and other befuddlements, the hat's most interesting and truly unique property is that it completely removes the wearer's character profile from the Armory website and provides enhanced privacy for its wearer!"

I play D&D at the food court of the local mall with a few other nerds. We have a great time, but we used to have to put up with snide comments from passersby quite often. I remember one time when a group of punks walking by us called us a group of "dice-rolling faggots" and other nasty terms. We'd usually just ignore them, but it was obvious to us that the public at large did not take kindly to RPG'ing.

But that's changing now. We sometimes have people coming up to us, asking to watch us play D&D. They usually say they've gotten into RPG'ing due to WoW. Sometimes people want to join us, but we usually just prefer to play by ourselves. Regardless, the attitude of most people to our kind is becoming far more positive, and that's a glorious thing.
