CIA Captured Putin's 'Specific Instructions' To Hack the 2016 Election, Says Report (thedailybeast.com)

An anonymous reader quotes a report from The Daily Beast: When Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., CIA Director John Brennan and FBI Director James B. Comey all went to see Donald Trump together during the presidential transition, they told him conclusively that they had "captured Putin's specific instructions on the operation" to hack the 2016 presidential election, according to a report in The Washington Post. The intel bosses were worried that he would explode but Trump remained calm during the carefully choreographed meeting. "He was affable, courteous, complimentary," Clapper told the Post. Comey stayed behind afterward to tell the president-elect about the controversial Steele dossier, however, and that private meeting may have been responsible for the animosity that would eventually lead to Trump firing the director of the FBI.

    >Just say that Obama wanted the opposite.

You know, people say Obama was a great president (well... probably not a lot of Republicans), but I think Obama's ultimate legacy will be that on his way out he goaded Trump into running for president so he could destroy everything Obama did.

I also think history may just decide that enough Americans weren't ready for a black man in the Oval Office that it provided support for an unfit racist white guy to move into it next.

If you can stomach it, read the Washington Post article. It's filled with page after page of "he said she said".

Not one shred of evidence. I'm sure Russia, and every other country, has a preferred outcome in mind with regard to all foreign elections, but I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that ANY country manipulated our vote count in any way.

Up to this point it still appears that Russia bought some ads to try to sway the vote. There is no evidence that they hacked any voting machines. There appears to be no evidence of the Russians hacking anyone's email either.

When you require careful and concerted choreography to explain simple concepts to your president, there might be a problem.

Such as "ISIS can be defeated"?

You know, that simple concept that Obama couldn't grasp but that Trump actually ACCOMPLISHED?

    Trump defeated ISIS?

The Liberal types who treated any criticism of Obama as proof of racism will probably follow your thinking. Obama was inept, useless, and a complete stooge in the Mideast. Much like his predecessor. However as the first "black president" he will get undeserved accolades and protection rather than an honest look. Indeed, his presidency started off with a completely undeserved Nobel Peace prize.

Cool present the evidence and do a court trial.

There is currently more evidence of collusion with Hillary than there is with Trump.

Consider if Trump had been SecState, the trump foundation got a bunch of money from the Russians, and then Trump's SecState approved the sale to UraniumOne?

    Suddenly people would care.

Look, spin your narratives as you please. I was trying to introduce some adult level headed reasonableness into this dumpsterfire of a political argument.

Democrats apparently think anytime they lose an election it is because it was stolen from them. We got that from Gore and now we're pathetically getting it from the last gasp of the Clinton machine.

Close elections happen. You think Trump did something illegal? Have your court trial. But thus far the entire thing has been an embarrassing circus for everyone promoting the Russia narrative.

The only reason I want it to stop is because I don't want so many of our national institutions to prostitute themselves to a dying political empire's ego. But if that is what people want to do... so be it.
