This kinda suggests this may not be an intel-only realease. Pretty cool.

I have been a Civ junkie for a long time and I can't wait to play a native Linux version. That is oh so cool.

I would prefer to wait on a longer beta cycle to ultimately have a better quality product... one that will stay on my hard drive for years.

This message is going out to everyone who sent us mail asking about beta testing the Linux version of Civilization: Call to Power. We're going to keep your information and contact you once we've announced the beta test signup sometime in February. Civ should go beta in late February or early March. Obviously, our plans for the beta need some rethinking. 20 - 25 just won't cut it. We're somewhere around 2000 responses right now, considerably more than most Windows titles get. We'd have to go into full replication to get that many out.

We're going to do the right thing with the beta -- as soon as we figure out what that is. Ideas?
