There were no schools that had the degree program that I wanted, so I chose to go to a community college until i figured something out. I finished with a 2 year degree in CIS and moved on to a more technical program in computer engineering. While the CE degree isn't just networking, its a good foundation for getting into serious network engineering later on. Of couse, I was learning networking on my own over this entire period, so I should be prepared for a real network engineer job soon... hopefully.
used it for several months w/o any major problems. delivery time can be annoying at times, but the anime/music selections outweight that. it was better when you could get 4 at a time for $20 though.
the problem with raid (1) is that both drives are running all the time. this can lead to both drives failing from use after a while. the way i have it, all my mp3s are backed up onto a 2nd hd that sits on the shelf. no chance of it getting worn out while sitting there. if the drive in use fails, rip it out, shove it the like-new backup drive.
if winXP distribution was halted (in the US), ms would just release it everywhere else in the world and i would get a copy from another country and tell the US gov to go to hell.
OTH really puts all of this into perspective realy well from a show in late june, before the case ever started. Its about the control of fair use after a dvd has been bought. Who is to say what you can and cannot do with the dvd after you paid for it! can it be used to copy dvds? yes, but its alot of trouble and the MPAA shouldnt be worried about that. thats a mute point.
i didnt see anything about it in the offical release statement from mandrake. for those of us that can't afford scsi, this would be a huge plus. i just got all my unsupported hardware working with all kinds of patches and hacks and i dont want to have to do it again if i can avoid it.
chalk up my vote for Sensei also. i was refered to his site when i first got into linux, (not that long ago) and i went from asking the questions to answering them and writing help files thanx to Sensei. He's also in his irc channel #linuxnewbie on dalnet all the time and if he isnt there to answer your questions personlly, his loyal 'footmen' (i love that term) are.
Even if it can't quite get up to 80Gbits, thats still a big improvement over what it is right now. Now if only they can develope a way to hook it directly to my vain.
email me and i'll throw one your way.

That's www.scmp.com". It was the thought that counts.
No. The high costs are to help regain lost profits from people that burn stolen music to cdr. Thats the only people that use cdrs right?
Read We in HS and really enjoyed it. Worth checking out. @ amazon

When was the last time 'being illegal' stopped you from still using something? DeCSS anyone?
