Well, Linux has its own quirks - the "change the GUI for the sake of change itself" virus has not escaped them too. Neither has the forced cloud invasion (Ubuntu search). However, if this is the direction Windows is going to, I will switch to Linux as main OS.
I want to stick with 7. But MS seems intent to forcing 10 uppon us with windows update. First I had to remove and block KB3035583, yesterday I see this: KB3040272 in the list of updates which, according to MS, does this: "This update helps Microsoft make improvements to the current operating system in order to ease the upgrade experience to the latest version of Windows."
Blocked that as well, you never know what they spam you with when they think almost everyone installed it. I don't even trust them not to call something like that a "security update" at some point.
However, if said candidate sued for 3 years and almost broke himself for it like Ars Technica stated, he has proven to be hateful. I certainly wouldn't vote on someone who spends so much energy on such a minor issue,
So if some website presents a malware ad that infects someone who is still stupid enough not to use an adblocker the site can be held liable for the damage? That sure would be a good thing.
No, actually he's much safer in Brittain (and certainly in the embassy) than in Sweden. Sweden has shown itself in the past to be even more willing to do the bidding of the US than the UK.
You have offline solutions for that, like KeePass. I'd rather go with the extra hassle of having to sync the KeePass database myself than being dumb enough to put it on some cloud service. And no, a KeePass database on Dropbox is almost just as dumb.
It's time all open source crypto development moved out of the US. Suppose they want to attack people like Moxie Marlinspike working on TextSecure, hiding messages from who knows who from the NSA? Fortunately the SMS fork, SMSSecure, is developed by European developers and while we don't have a true constitution (although the EU human rights treaty acts like one in practice, no wonder right wing politicians hate it) we are still free to talk about such things.
You mean like the US drone operators who bomb weddings in pakistan? Or the helicopter crew that slaughtered civilians where Manning stood up and showd the world the kind of "freedom" the US is bringing?
So, yiou think that because the congress and house are showing they can act like children this is a valid excuse for the president to start wars all on his own?
So your constitution, which gets ignored by the government anyway, allows you to bitch about a government that existed over 2 centuries agoo. Some freedom you have there...
If this is true, I hope the Russians and/or Chinese publish the information so other countrieswill know who the traitors who sell data to the US. The US has already shown us how to treat "enemy combattants" so thei're up for a rough time.
If Windows 10 takes off desktop users will keep using desktop software. The very few windows phone/tablet users can be just as easily ignored by developers as a lot of them do today with Linux users.
The thermonuclear option would be for Apple to built an adblocker themselves instead of only providing the means for others to do it, and enable it by default.
Fortunately I can still play Stalag 1 on the C64 emulator.

Like the malaria bug, aid virus and the nigger.
Adblock Plus defaults to letting some ads pass. Can admins block those by default as well on a large scale deployment?
What video ad? :-)

You are currently in your assigned free-speech zone, aren't you? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_speech_zone)

You dream about logging in? You work too hard. :-)
But it's quite easy to brute force. "So, you didn't like us breaking your finger? You have 9 more to go unless you give us the password".
At least your computer with your KeePass file is not such a high profile target as the LastPass servers (unless you're Edward Snowden perhaps).

The US does not declare war anymore. They learned from Pearl Harbor that attacking without warning works much better.
So what, he pleaded guilty? In the "free" state of the US, that usually means he does not have the money to pay a decent lawyer.

So killing US soldiers who kill civilians with drone bombardments is not being a terrorist. Somehow the US government does not agree.

It's good PR. And a bad example to turn him over, if they do that noone will trust them again.
