You proposal (referenda for everything) would seriously hamper budgettingIn Switzerland it works too, and I don't have the impression that Switserland has large problems with budget deficiencies, while other countries with a representative democracy like the USA have much larger budget problems.
at this time, it still is the farthest left in dutch politicsOne can disscuss wether the SP or Groen Links are more leftish, however, the NCPN (New communist party, a splitoff who fould the CPN to mild) is certainly more leftisch. They are active in some areas (northern Groningen).
But, since no party hare has ever an absolute majority, they will also have to compromise when they want to join a government.
A political party in a two-party system is a gigantic coalition of many different interests. Lacking an enforceable party platform, the other forces that decide which of these interests will get rewarded after the votes are counted are not very clear in either major party. There lies a large similarity and a large difference between the US and The Netherlands: here, different interestgroups will probably create a different party, but roughly the left- and rightwing votes are approximately shared 50-50.
However, unlike in the US, here it's rather common for a left-center and right-center party to form a coalition. In the US it's either one of the 2, no coalitions outside a single party.
However, the situation gets complicated here now because 2-party coalitions are not possible with this election outcome. At least 3 are required, which will be difficult.
Standard neocon bullshit. In most states in Europe, people who cant work or can't find a job get money from the state to buy food, shelter and healthcare (essentially the same as providing them for free). Indefinitely if needed, not only for a short period like in the USA. We prefer not to have our people starving or without healthcare if they can't find a job for whatever reason. And guess what: most people still want to work, because they prefer to have more money than the state provides them with. A few don't, but since they are mostly low educated and there is a shortage of jobs for lowly educated people anyway, most people don't really care: it gives more opportunities for those who do want to such work.
It sore brings them something positive: the US is less likely to invade North Korea now that NK is able to punch back a little. Sure, Iraq turned out to be able to punch back too but the stupid cultural-deficient occupants of the white house didn't forsee that. But NK has now BOTH nukes AND missles, with some luck they could launch a desperate nuke on the US west coast when the US invades. Could be enough reason to keep the US out, especially since NK has no oil anyway.
You should compress the video better, remember the screen size of the phone. I have a Nokia 6230i which plays H263.3gp videos. When I convert a complete Stargate episode of 42 minutes the file gets about 17MB. Quality is poor, but cartoons like Star Trek animated do fine (23 mins - about 10MB per episode).
Why store 640x480 video on a device that has low memory and can't show that many pixels anyway?
I suggest we return the "favour" like the Brasilians did: they separated all US citizens on airports and demanded a lot of forms to be filled in and fingerprints taken. Some that protested too loud were sent back to where they came from. This method seemed to help reduce stupid US demands, so the EU should consider it. After all, it wouldn't be the first American CIA operatives that kidnapped people on EU soil. Better register those potential threats to national security thouroughly.
If the USA stopped starting wars all over the planet they might save some money for more constructive things. And it saves on healthcare too, not having to fix up all those wounded soldiers.
Who told you that? I'm from Europe (The Netherlands) and there is of course some critic on counting measures (here, many who are officially unfit for labour and get government pay were in reality dumped by large corporations when the economy was bad), but you count as worting when you work over X hours a week (don't know the exact number for X). If you have a PhD in CS but are cleaning dishes 40 hours a week you count as working.
While healthcare might prtoduce little economic value (it does create some, as it allows qualified people to keep working where otherwise they might be unable to), the largest sector of the US economy does not only not create value, it actively destroys value: the military.
There was reported here that the Linux client is not affected, but I found the Linux client to be extremely unstable anyway. It crashed often just after starting.
However, the win32 client can still be used (it would be a shame to delete all those nearly completed files that AFAIK can't be ported to eMule): the check that triggers the uninstall is done only once, so just deactivate the network connection when you fire it up. I also did that when installing it, so it would not even try to get spyware on my machine. After starting eDonkey2000, reconnect the network cable and deal with the error message that complains about not finding a peer network. I'll try something called "eDonkey2000 lite" later this week.
Actually Palestine had democratic elections - unfortunately they were won by Hamas, a terrorist organisation. This rather puts the west in a tricky position - what do you do when people democratically elect extremely objectionable leaders?
What can you do? The same holds for a country like the USA. We can choose to break diplomatic relations with those war mongers in the white house, or try to make the best of it. As long as the country stays democratic one can hope for a peacefull change of regime.
Of course. It seems states cannot leave the USA without being attacked. When states wanted to leave the former USSR they were free to go (although that was probably more because the USSR was very weak already, I doubt very much Stalin would have let them go as well).
As far as I know and read the Tor documentation, Tor doesn't keep logs. So either the police is incompetent, doesn't know it and seizes the servers anyway (not unsurprising), or either they are irritated by an anonymous network they can't control and try to harrass as many people using it as they can, to try to break it down (also wouldn't surprise me). Or both options apply at the same time (most probable option IMO).
However, 7 years in prison for that? Here in The Netherlands, you get that for 2nd degree murder. Gives an indication on the relative priorities in penal systems that copyright violation seems to be considered as bad in the USA as 2nd degree murder here...
You may ask what you want. However, why would I obey it? Those who sell commercials will just have to hope most people will not remove such labels.
It happens with other things too. I once got my car back from a maintenace checkup with some stickers added to the back window. Very irritating to see them continuously in my mirror, so I removed them ASAP.
I will get my ass somewhere else. I'll download the movie with eDonkey and see it at home, if that's what the theater owners want... :-)

Not all Jews are zionists (and not all zionists are Jews either).

It only means most Chinese don't hate their government enough to think it's beneficial to start a civil war they think they can win.
