That's an unfortunate turn of events since it will reduce competition even more.
I've been using Webpass for almost two years now, but even their rates are more than double than what you'd get in European cities.
In the Disney case H1-B workers were trained by the US citizens and then the jobs were moved offshore and US citizens were fired.
I can't complain about H1-B because I used it to get into US as well, but I can see how it is used to drive down wages. There are already laws saying you can't offer a lower than average wage for the position to a H1-B worker, but there is freedom on what you call the worker's position so a senior can be hired as a junior.
I actually wanted to switch to Ubuntu instead of upgrading to Windows 10, but I also use a headless desktop and a laptop as a thin client. Windows 10 simply has much better support for remote desktop. I wrote down my experiences here: https://medium.com/@imbusy/rem...
Using the same logic your mobile phone call data can be acquired freely to listen to your calls just because it's floating through the air. Why would that be a breach of privacy?
Isn't that how it already works? The employer has to offer a salary that is above average of what the standard is. Foreign workers on H1-B visas ARE more expensive. But maybe they are willing to work in a lower position than they normally should so all in all they cost less.
BTW, I'm someone who missed this year's H1-B quota by a few days myself.
$1million and $300k - that's a very small percentage of money out of the estimated $1billion each spend. And what is this digital consulting anyway? Is that what they are paying for facebook ads?
It seems like no one simply bothered doing it before him because everything is done much easier numerically. And you can do a lot more with numerical integration (account better for the environment) than this one specific case of the problem could ever handle.
or every bit of news about solar arrays is pretty much the same - better efficiency, lower cost. I'm getting tired of reading the same thing every week.
Perhaps they know they have a problem and are basically cashing in and getting out, while the gettin' is good.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I just can't believe how many people have been mislead into buying this stock.
Well, at least it frees up the money of the investors so they can invest in some other companies.
It would be interesting to see how many of us started out wanting to make a game/some graphics demo and then learning how to do it compared to some other motivation for learning programming. I started out that way myself.
Facebook going public has freed the money of those who have invested in it before it went public. Now these people will have to invest that money again and these imaginary dollars will probably go to high-tech startups again. And I don't believe Silicon Valley is about science, but rather about technologies that make our lives easier. Advanced science has always been and will be done at universities or very large companies.
Either you keep on changing and moving forward or you drown in the competition. At least they are trying to do something to differentiate themselves.
Your response is typical for a person who thinks that everything is good enough already and there is no need for change.
You can dispute credit card charges with pretty much a single click of a mouse.
Can we have a botnet that scans the internet for insecure devices and changes their password?

So it doesn't support dynamic content, only static pages?
I'm a data analyst/developer at a fast growing company so your argument is invalid.
HiTech workers definitely make enough to afford more spacious and expensive cars along with garage parking.
As a HiTech worker I can only say - I can't afford shit with the current rental prices.

I can flick through websites using the scroll wheel with minimal effort. I don't feel like waving my hands to do common tasks.
And a good 2.5" 750GB drive is $85. Compare that to $200.
Yes, I understand now, that I understand nothing about mobile standards.
The next step is robots, then zombies, then vampires and we're back to superheroes again.

Should have read the article more carefully. Yes, that seems to be the cost of their Facebook ads.

I sometimes wonder what these people will do once the reverse is true.
Social benefits of oxygen outweigh the risks while for meth it's not true.

My 17" doesn't have a numeric keypad, not even space for one. Maybe you meant 19"
