The linux kernel devs had an offer open to manufacturers to write drivers for free. But I guess it's been 7 years since that offer so maybe that's changed. If so it was most likely because the manufacturers didn't take them up on the offer.
The best way to keep inspectors from looking the other way for cash under the table is to be able to see when they're looking the other way. This also protects the restaurant owners too since the inspector can't threaten them over something imaginary because it will have to be on the video recording to back up their statements.
These accidents all seem to stem from the drivers and their carelessness. From crashing through brick walls to hitting large chunks of debri in the road rather than going around it. All Tesla has done is made their vehicles less prone to the driver being careless. (good move none the less)
Next up - Tesla cars catch fire after drivers park them in the ocean.
My thoughts exactly - the digital divide wouldn't be any less worse without Google. If anything Google is slowly forcing the hands of the large telcos to bolster their services or have their lunches eaten.
As we improve our ability to keep private things private the government's orginizations will find it easier to snoop by gaining physical access first. There's no doubt we're on the slippery slope. I have to wonder, which orginization broke into his apartment? Or maybe it was a combined effort and they are sharing in the information gained, if any.
Cookie Monster is one of my must have plugins for Firefox. You can easily see at a glance where the cookie usage stands for the site you are on and can then adjust as needed. Using a default of rejecting all can be a bit more work though but isn't so bad once you have white listed your regularly used web sites.
The owner of a self-driving car will have had to accepted the EULA and accepted not to hold the manufacturer liable for sofware defects. (half joking but I wouldn't rule it out)
If you hold down on the thumbnails the option to pin the site is there so that it always shows when opening firefox. Simply pin down 6 sites you don't mind displaying at startup. Also, there is an addon called clean quit that can be set to clear out history, cookies and such when you choose it as an option to exit the browser.
Thanks for the update. Not that I think they should go lightly on him but he should be given some consideration for owning up to his mistake. Regardless of his punishment it wont bring Seth back.
I used to think the same thing until I ended up paying for some charges I didn't make. Capital One's team of investigators concluded that the charges were my responsibility. I've been running Linux on the desktop for over 10 years now so I know it wasn't a trojan or some other malware on my end giving up the card number - it had to be an online service somewere that was hacked. I never found out who or how. I only ended up owing money for iPower Web hosting (would never in a million years use their service to start with), various gourmet coffee that was delivered to my house (ok I do like coffee but still wouldn't have ordered it online), video professor videos on using Microsoft Office (you know, if I should ever go back to Windows this may be handy???) and colon cleanser. WTF? I don't think they really did any investigating - just waited for a bit and then said it was my fault. Capital One offers no protection.
Or like has been stated before it's mostly being hoarded. (like when collecting anything, mostly of value to the collector and other collectors but not anyone else)

Cutting their communication lines was the first thing I thought of too. Then cutting their power lines. I may not have enough cofee in me to calm me down this morning but visions of the Dirty Dozen dumping fuel and grenades into their bunker came to mind. }:D
I doubt he would have gained any rank since he's been arrested so subtract 3 years. Then depending on when he joined (right out of highschool?) that would only give him 4 years in. At the end of my 4 years (back in the day) I had reached Spec 4. There wasn't a lot of room to go further without signing up again and going after training for newer missle systems. Like anything in life advancment takes planning along with the effort.
Devices with smaller drives like a cell phone, tablet or laptops like Google's Pixel would be more vulnerable. Perhaps if you created some javascript that simply made requests to iterated subdomains that simply returned a small amount of javascript that then generated large amounts of text to store locally? The bandwidth needed would be much less then and the same amount of damage done. I have no idea if this scenario is possible though so take this with a grain of salt.

Just bad coding. Any language can be coded with badly. (some more easily or accidentally than others)
