I rather disagree. Stage6 was indeed high quality, which was nice, but the plugin required for it was hideous. It caused my browser to crash many, many times, and half the time it didn't work, providing the message "Could not download video file." I'm a rather glad to see it go, if only because I won't have to deal the plugin anymore.
Do you hate to be distracted by love while watching violence? No. I hate being distracted by sex while watching violence. I have no problem with romantic scenes, or characters expressing affection for one another. However, showing sex is entirely unnecessary. Not having seen the exact movie in question, I don't know the content of said scene, however, more than likely, it would suffice to show them lying in bed, should it be essential to the plot, rather than showing the act itself.
I agree, I'm in much the same situation, but still in High School, or what would be if I was in Public School. Boy (Or Girl) Scouts is excellent for learning social and leadership skills.
I've had collaborate with people, especially those I don't know too well, through Boy Scout camps, and staffing at them. If Homeschooled kids don't get enough social exposure, it's because the parents suck at Homeschooling, not because of simple nature of the system.
A common character does not imply even similar gameplay.
To use a lame car analogy, just because an SUV and a tiny little sports car are made by the same company means that they drive the same. Watch a video of Super Paper Mario and tell me it's the same as Super Mario Galaxy.
The Wii has some awesome-looking titles coming that aren't Nintendo's main series'. Project HAMMER, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Fire Emblem, Sadness... Katamari is coming to the Wii, which should be interesting to see.
Not to mention that Metroid Prime 3 will be a system seller, and Super Smash Brothers: Brawl will be excellent.
As a high school student, I might be able to provide some insight into this. A lot of people know that Wikipedia and such are not acceptable sources, those that don't learn quickly. There's about a 90% chance that anyone after the first half of their freshman year who cites Wikipedia just doesn't care, or is trusting their luck that their teacher won't notice (Has happened once or twice, not a lot though). If someone cites Wikipedia or sites like it gets a lower grade, though by how much depends on the teacher.
In any case, "Inappropriate" sites are blocked (Myspace, pr0n, etc.), but Wikipedia is wide open. Anyone with any technical skill can get around the filter, though, so it's pretty effective, but enough people know how to that if they did something like block Wikipedia, it'd be useless anyway.
One of the things Wikipedia is good for is finding links to more reliable sites, and finding books to look up, as you said, at the library.
You must have a defective one or something. I've had mine since launch, and after adjusting the sensitivity on it, it was great.
The only times I've had it act up is if the batteries are nearly dead or someone screwed with the sensitivity setting(s).
Or, you could Homeschool.
There are plenty of programs out there that can help parents with anything they don't know how to teach, and for a lot cheaper than Private schools. There are even ways to get a High School degree Homeschooling.
MSNBC: Millions of kids have good day at school, don't shoot anyone.
It's true what they said in Superman Returns. Three things sell papers: Tragedy, sex, and Superman. We don't have Superman, though, so change that to politics.
I'm just starting to learn programming, starting with Python. It's actually very easy, but you can do quite a lot with it. I also like that the interpreter's a small download, and easily available on the 3 different OS's (Windows for gaming, Mac at school, and Linux for work at home) a I use daily, which isn't the case, for, say, BASIC (As far as I've found).
Hint:
Almost everyone stupid enough to click the link without confirming first would be using (Possibly un-updated) Win32 and IE6, with a non-updated firewall, if they had one at all.
Not everyone has enough brains to figure these things out... Just today, I had to put the "Internet Explorer" icon back on someone's desktop, which I did in 3 clicks. After that, I told someone you have to click inside a text box before the text will go in.
As sad as it is, not everyone can be a nerd.

Yeah, though those of us with a ton of his CDs won't forget him in 20 years... Unless we're all dead.
But a lot of his songs aren't pop-culture dependant. I mean, sure,
"I Want a New Duck" is getting less understood, but "One More Minute", "This is the Life", and "Dare to be Stupid" will stick around for quite a while. Even a good number his parodies don't require knowledge of the original song to laugh at.

It wouldn't make them any money!
Yup.
While we're at it, why is the violent crime rate so low in Switzerland, a country with very low amounts of gun legislation?

Don't forget Trinium, Naqahdah, and Naqahdriah!

Yes, in fact, we should put them in the right hand! >___>

But... But... But it's technology, so it must be bad...

How much do you spend on food/medications?
I think the amount might be higher than you think.
