    There's a reason for you. One of many in my place of work. Facebook access is blocked for the average drone, but there are a few folks that have reasons to use it for work purposes.

    Kubuntu works great for those folks that don't care for Gnome. Perhaps you should try it before going all apeshit on the distro and complaining about it.

    Best part, as j1976 above pointed out. They are configurable, you just have to dig for a couple minutes:

    It's easy to change even within the current distribution. Steps to fix:

    * Start gconf-editor
    * expand in this order: apps, metacity, general
    * Find entry "button_layout"
    * change it to "menu:minimize,maximize,close"

    The colon separates left side and right side.

    Which is telling the computer "Yes, I want to autorun this program."

    Just because its the default option doesn't mean its bad or something. You still have to hit a button. If the user mindlessly clicks away at buttons, well thats no fault of the software. Thats just a PEBKAC issue.

    I can confirm this. I had a nVidia card and the drivers were mad buggy in Win 7. I recently upgraded my card to a Radeon 5000 series and haven't had a problem since.

    Ummm... Apple has never started making money hand over fist with iTunes. Income from iTunes and the iPhone app store together are a negligible portion of Apple's revenue. Seriously, they both barely make more than the operational cost.

    You can play single player Steam games offline so long as you run Steam in offline mode.

    Not completely true, it depends on the game.

    L4D2 will not run offline PERIOD. You get ~5 minutes of game play before the game kicks you out because it can't connect to Steam. This will happen even in offline mode...

    Realms tend to have populations in the tens of thousands. The realm I used to play on was sitting at 20,000 or so. Even given that you can only communicate with your faction, on my realm I can communicate with 10,000+ people. That's on one realm...
