  1. Is that really it ? on Why Linux Doesn't Spread - the Curse of Being Free · · Score: 0

I would have thought its because you have to do so much damned work to make Linux work for you. Write your own config files, download packages, recompile the kernel. Windows just works without all that effort.

You might find it hard to believe, but the implied "I know better" attitude gets you nowhere. Unless you know for a fact how it works, then guessing on limited understanding & then casting doubt on the facts is about as constructive as p*ssing into the wind.

  6. Low level evolution on Chimps Found Making Own Weapons to Hunt for Food · · Score: 0

I used to respect Mark's opinion on security issues, now he's sold out to M$ and is singing from their hymn sheet. If he wasn't their b*tch now, he would be condeming this hole rather than saying it was s design decision.

  9. Can they do that ? on Vista DRM Cracked by Security Researcher · · Score: 0

So their DRM seriously degrades playback on hardware they have not approved ? Are they not already up to their necks in sh*t for being anti-competative ? It seems the more they get found out for being monopolistic, the more they do it.... ????

  11. Re:I loves the Vista on BBC To Host Multi-OS Debate · · Score: 0

I would support Windows in general, its ahead of all other competition. But I wouldn't support Vista, its going to be their worst release in years, its got lots of publicized issues with itself, not to mention all the other software that won't run on it. M/S operating systems are only worth using after they have been out for 2 / 3 years & the issues are resolved. Initial releases are always a headache. Linux & Macs will never gain the popularity or support of leading software.

  12. Shooting the messenger ? on Microsoft PR Paying to "Correct" Wikipedia · · Score: 0

Go & do a Wikipedia search for OOXML, Go On DO IT NOW ! Top of the page it says "Some statements may be disputed, incorrect, biased or otherwise objectionable.". Wikipedia themselves realise the content of these articles is only as good as the people posting it. While I enjoy a harmless bit of MS bashing (thats why I 3 ./ ;)) its unfair to imply they are "correcting" Wikipedia with " around it. Wiki's are whatever is written in them, either by evil companies or nerds with an axe to grind, if you don't like it then don't read it.

I dont understand how it can identify the rifle by the sound, I would have thought that the ammunition used would be more likely to influence the sound than the rifle used ? 22. I *DO* hate them on Why Does Everyone Hate Microsoft? · · Score: 0

The reason I hate them is the way they crush competition, usually after stealing their ideas. Microsoft hardly ever innovate, they just copy what has been done previously. And then then sue anyone who does the same, even if it is who they stole the idea from in the first place. They normally win, as they can afford the best lawyers. Remember all the anti-competition lawsuits against Big Bad Bill ? When they were found guilty in one case, THEY told the judge what their punishment would be. They gave away MS software to schools. This just ousted their competitors & increased their monopoly. If they would compete fairly, I might like them. Might. ;)
