We work on the users laptops and frequently they give us wrong passwords for us to dial in with them. And finding them an beating it out of them with a grue takes time.
So we just call up the helpdesk and ask for the password to be reset remotely.
It's never failed yet. But then we have never pulled the trick of getting a male to request a password for a woman.
They should probably do more of this, they're probably cheapish to create these days and given a poster above was saying how much his kid enjoyed them their might be a market here.
...the butt awful interface on every motorola I've ever used.
Actually seriously, all motorlas I've use right up till the v66 are appaulingly horrible to do anything with. Before I would actually buy one they really need to sort this out. Reading a text message was an exercise in hell ffs.
Let's patent courtrooms :)
Sounds like you're feeling lucky.
;)
And we're straight back to expensive accidents again
And there was me thinking all search engines were written by people who couldn't find porn without it...
I don't believe it works if said accident occured in the stationary cupboard on the night of an office party.
Shame it's wrong if you're not American ;)
;)
Google to me
Well given they were building PCs out of lego we didn't expect them to come up with something normal deliberately did we?
If you just browse porn sites on a 3hour flight can you claim to have joined the mile high club? ;)
Santos L Halper? Is that you?
And equally how do you regulate me in the UK calling you?
Even better. AOL routes all it's UK customers through the US to avoid tax. Does this screw them? What if the UK comes up with contradicting regs?
The global nature of the internet is a problem here.
Having said that, how do they do it with PSTN internationally?
But what about non-vocal ones like IRC?
Or sending an email with a Wav?
Or for that matter is VoIP covering MSN/ICQ/AOL/YAHOO IMs?
Could you demonstrate this prior art? ;)
So it doesn't wash.
;)
And I don't believe 2k server has the recovery console and FUD aside it's effectively as rare to reboot a 2k server as a linux one.
If they're using Linux it'll be the same. If they're using 98 then they've got bigger problems anyway
Unbelieveably offtopic
:P
but I own Ican'tbelieveIt'sNotMicrosoft.com
I've no idea what to do with it
I work on occasion for .

but even in 2k you could just use the physical access to reset the admin pwd.
Ditto any linux I've used for that matter.
And indeed you can do it to a linux system with a DOS bootdisk with Fdisk one.
You won't get any files that way admittedly.
Or if you have time, a DOS boot disk with drive image on and a spare HD.
Even better in this case of how long it's taken me to get the sodding work PC to do anything I want it to :)
People buy online items for real money on occasion.
This man fraudently obtained the online item but getting the password and then sold it for real money.
so he's guilty of fraud for a start.
Wget is good as the other guys said.
If you like your GUI friendly programs try Reget
Very nice. Integrates with IE, finds its way through most redirects etc.
What you can do is right click on a page and say "download all by reget" or just select a load and drag it to a little box in the bottom right.

...if you recompile your phone's kernal.
;)
:p
Every time you add a new number.
still, I can start sending my business card as an rpm

There's a few. I live out in the sticks (we got ADSL mid last year) and I have 2 within vaguely sensible range. (5mins and 15mins from my house)
Incidentally, if you're buying a new car, Vauxhall offer factory conversions of your vehicle before you ever see it. A good piece of mind approach.
Indeed, the problem is of course that London is on clay. To make something stable you have to start low and get MUCH lower.
Ever see a subway groan off in a huge billowing black smoke cloud?
Only when it breaks.
