I'd like to start the bidding at One Billion dollars. I would gladly write an article saying that Global Warming is not based on sound scientific research. Please email me at dekkerdreyer@gmail.com for an address to send the check.
Hmmm... flying through high energy plasma caught in bounce motion in the magnetosphere. Doesn't sound like fun to me.
Furthermore, if you're launching from a high inclination you need a lot more fuel to get up to orbiting velocity. Why do you think everyone else launches their rockets from the equator?
Connect to the free wifi, read a few extremists websites, post jihadist hatred, say something bad about the US president, and then search for some kiddie porn (think of the children!) In the US, the guy connecting to the real network connection will be shot on sight within minutes.

That's what's wrong with all the plastic computer cases out there. The hard drive produces heat, and good thermal conduction can reduce the amount of fans needed. The above statement is a good way to replace a noisy hard drive with a noisy fan, or simply a good way to significantly shorten the lifespan of your hard drive.

I know of dozens of machines with pirated copies of Windows that all report back as genuine. What does the program look for to determine if a copy is genuine or not? Who are these 25% and what did they have to do to make the WGA check fail?
If you would have tried doing even a little research, you would have found out that Google penalizes hacked sites and even makes an attempt to contact the webmaster to alert them to the problem. Not only that, they'll relist you if you remove the spam.

4. Profit
Correct. A good analogy of copyright violation is that, instead of taking your car, I simply make a copy of your car that looks and runs the same.
RIAA wants 150,000 * retail_cost for the songs. That means that if you bought a $10,000 Neon, and I made a copy of it, that I would owe Dodge... 1.5 billion.
I should have added, if you have used Windows as much as your post implies, you're in for quite a curve. Anybody with some common sense and some computer experience under their belt will find that viruses and malware is really just not an issue, and everything just works with Windows.
The first time you find you have to compile multiple programs and chase down various projects and firmware releases just to get encrypted wireless internet working, you'll be wishing you were back in windows.
"What? WPA requires me to compile two more packages and likely won't compile without modifying my kernel? On top of that, I have to fight with a command prompt everytime I want to change from my personal wireless network to another one without encryption?!"
I would recommend Cygwin as the best solution. Cygwin is the bridge that provides access to much of the bulk that makes linux attractive on a desktop (GNU utilities, mainly) with the ease of use that you're used to (keeping Windows).
Unless you have some particular need where you really need a linux OS (busy web server, robust firewall, etc), you'll find that you are better off sticking with Windows. Cygwin will allow you to access most of the benefits of unix, including Xwindows if you're into that sort of thing. Most of the basic linux apps you're looking for will run fine with Cygwin.
I have numerous windows machines and only two linux machines. One is a RAID array, the other is the house workhorse (ssh/ftp/web/rsync server and firewall). Both linux machines are headless.
Windows may have numerous shortcomings, but on the desktop there's nothing linux really has to offer.
If I'm working on a project and not making any progress, another four hour day at work seems unbearable. If I'm making great progress and enjoying way I'm doing, I'll forget lunch and dinner and find myself starving and exhausted 14-16 hours later, but quite happy. Progress I think is the key.
You obviously don't run such a service yourself. Even with registrations, I get about 5-6 fake account creations a day from bots. You'd be amazed how fast a popular website would fill up with advertisements if anyone could post a comment without validating themselves.
It's not an MP3 transmitter, it's a transmitter for uncompressed audio. It's not a zip transmitter, or a wma transmitter, or a real audio transmitter, or a CD teleporter. It's an FM audio transmitter.
Anyone who uses Optionsxpress and their streaming quote java application should be well aware of the bugs with Firefox and Java. Crashes, lock-ups, and randomly moving your cursor to the left one character after typing. These bugs have been listed in bugzilla for quite some time but I haven't seen anybody tackle them.
Say I am currently a subscriber with a crap phone; Where can I go to learn about getting an ebay phone to work with my service? What is involved? What do I need to look for? What is a locked phone? Will any of the phones work with Sprint/Verizon/Cingular? Do some phone only work with one? What do I need to do to make the phone work?
Anyone who owned a thrid generation ipod knows that Apple won't go back to touch sensitive buttons. The buttons on the third generation ipod were horrible. You'd have to frequently toggle the hold switch to recalibrate the ipod so it would be sensitive to your fingers. Even then, you usually got the best result when you brushed your finger past the button rather than just touching it. Apparently Apple knew this, because all future generations have gone back to tactile feedback buttons with mechanical engagement.
The current generation of ipods seems to be a good balance. I can put my ipod into my jeans and control it through the denum. The buttons are easy to find due to their attraction to one side of the ipod, and the wheel is sensitive enough to pick up the finger through the denim.
With this in mind, and looking at the history of ipod design, it looks like Apple abandoned the capacitive buttons in favor of tactile ones. You may not realize why unless you owned a third generation, but ask anyone who has and you're likely to hear a similar story.
While I can see this being useful, I can also see it being a failure. Maybe Apple is just patenting things that their competition might try.
I don't understand this "Unhealthy listening levels" issue. Nobody condems PA speakers. I don't see research articles about the unhealthy listening levels capable of BOSE speakers. I have an ipod and I often listen to it as low as I can hear it but just above the ambient noise. Just because an ipod is capable of damaging ears doesn't make it a menace. A pair of scissors is capable of stabbing someone, but there's no research about the "unhealthy stabbing potential" of them.

As an engineer I've been using my HP-48G for the past 12-13 years or so and love it. There are also decent emulators for the PC as well.

I've been fairly pleased with the movies I downloaded from TorrentSpy. Good quality, fast download times, decent DRM. Even high definition movies!

The moral of the story is don't buy a Neon.
I think I just had a seizure watching that page. Too much movement.

Don't blame the websites, blame the scum.
Why do poor people need better access to ATMs?
Throw an SPF entry in your DNS zone record, that helps keep spammers from using your domain as a FROM address. Worked for one of my domains.

This might be my case. I've never had a phone with a SIM card, so I don't know much about them. I thought that was a mainly European thing.

My mom has a squeeze box, she wears it on her chest. When dad comes home, he never gets no rest.
