I started working as an IT professional right out of high school (I had to show my diploma to be hired because I wasn't even 18 yet). I've been an IT consultant now for about 8 years.
The first 5 of my years I worked for a small (3 techs at a time) company. There I found myself under-appreciated, underpaid and hugely taken advantage of. Right before leaving that company, a guy (my age) who just graduated college had the entitled attitude and it did nothing more than piss me off. His focus was "if I don't get a raise in X time, I am going to quit." I had to train him in all I do and I wasn't all that impressed by him nor his attitued despite being part of the same generation.
I may have resented that job, but those 5 years allowed me to gain the experience I needed to obtain the job I have now. I did my time, paid my dues and the company I work for now pays me well, I have the respect of my peers (despite the fact I am one of the young guys) and I am authority in various technologies. Nothing wrong with starting small. Count me among the believers that hard work gets you places.
heh... guess I wasn't clear... I meant I hadn't seen comments regarding the game. I just spent 3 hours at it again before realizing it was 3am. Sucks 'cause I have to be up early. HAHAHA
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Rock Band. While I am geeky enough to say I do prefer the Japanese Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania, I must say that I am enjoying Rock Band at home. The guitar portion of the game is nearly identical to Guitar Hero and the vocal part is like Karaoke Revolution. The drums are my favorite part of the game and I can't seem to put my sticks down. My neighbors are all probably pretty pissed at me right now.:) All portions of this game require precise timing and skill. The fact that I am able to download more songs via XBox Live is an awesome features and with 1-4 players, it is fun to play with a group of friends or by myself. $170 well spent.

Of course you didn't "buy" a game... That's what a MOD chip is for, right? hahahaha
err... scratch that... I don't really know what a MODDIE chipie thing is...
Metroid Zero Mission was the original Metroid remade for the GBA. Graphics were greatly enhancedm, maps changed a bit as did the game play, but the story stayed the same. This is a great example of a classic game remade for the next generation consoles (granted GBA is old news now). I'd like to see a remake of Chrono Trigger. There was once a fan made remake in progress, but Square shut them down (see Chrono Trigger Resurection http://www.opcoder.com/projects/chrono/).

I will be the first to admit that I would not have purchased Wii Sports had it not been included with the console. Ironically, that is the game played on my Wii 90% of the time I play with friends. If the price is dropped and Wii Sports is removed, the overall cost of the unit would rise as people would have to purchase that game separately.
Guitar Hero is obviously a knock-off of the much loved Guitar Freaks (and Drum Mania). When I Konami going to finally put out a US version of Guitar Freaks? They started the treand and are now missing out. I much prefer Konami's version (even more partial to the second half of the series, Drum Mania).
...In Asia 3cm is long!
(Tasteless humor I know, but I had to. Really.)

Did anyone else notice that the article was written before the iPhone came out? I think somebody just re-posted it this month.

Yeah... they are going back to a 3 button design with red, green and blue buttons...

...to customize Dance Dance Revolution to include Britney Spears or Fall Out Boy? Oh... wait... (bad Konami. bad.)
I clicked the link TWICE and still didn't get infected. :(
So that they are better accepted, maybe we should impose new taxes but call them "Community Upkeep Enablement."
