Verizon now has a network that no one will be able to touch for years. Even if ATT bought everyone else it wouldn't have such dominate coverage (That's after getting the technology integrated).
In the end ATT will never be able to catch up. Verizon and Alltel are both on the same path to LTE, will have little to no technology integration issues and will save billions in operating and roaming costs.
Between their acquisition of MCI, FIOS TV and Internet and now this dominating wireless coverage they pretty much own any kind of retail data you could want to purchase. Wimax is going to be relegated as the last huge failure by Sprint as they fade into the background.
Only thing to do is sit back and wait for the commercial where the VZW guy stretches his hand out to Chad and says "Your not such a bad guy". As Chad cracks a tear and puts his hand out the VZW guy rips it off and beats him to death with it.
Why couldn't this work? I see the ramifications of using the blood stream as water dam style power plant but that could have issues with the heart when it is under extreme distress. I can't see why the massive amount of heat the body produces can't be used to power these devices. At the nano level I have to believe no one will freeze to death at the minor loss in heat.
As long as I don't have a bunch of tubes hooked up to my nipples, I'm all for it.....
I worked for a major cell carrier for 5 years, let me tell you, especially Motorola phones, it is simple to start screwing with the phone's inner workings through "Test Modes" and such. I one year, carriers will already be doing software upgrade "Pushes" to the phones, without letting you know it is happening. When you sign the contract it states this will happen, the contracts have said this for a few years now but I don't think anyone's really looking at them.
At the bottom of the article, it says to DIGG IT
Yeah, A FUCKING GRAVE!!!
So much for PaysForSure, $1000000 says when you plug it into a Vista box the UAC blocks it
Of course you do, they don't let janitors clean during mid-management meetings....
On a side note, I see all these "responses" Microsoft has to Zero Day exploits from other people proof of concepts. What about what MS does to proactively find these holes? I would really love to see the ratio of what they find vs. what is found by others.
The greatest thing about windows is the registry, why? Cause the average user with Google access can find a hack to make windows do something its not supposed to do. I have Windows Media Center 2005 on my laptop. Not supposed to be able to authenticate to and join domains, but it does (Now).
No point in wasting the breath to complain, they're not listening, if they were, this BS wouldn't be happening.
Give it 2 months and people will be transforming Home into Ultimate versions with a few downloads and tweaks.
Shame on the unformed who say Microsoft is trying to imitate Google......
I spend about a hundred hours a month programming an access database for my company. It "HAS TO" have a slick looking front end, which will all know is super easy in Access... I got them to spring for a 20.1 in Monitor and it's great but now I'm beggin for a second so I can have the source code on one screen and the front end on the other.
I guarenteed you will all the Alt+Tabbing I have to do, I'll save at least an hour a week. For the little these things cost in the long run, you would have to be pretty Draconian to actuall want to break it down into dollars and sense, it should just be common sense.
Common sense also dictates Ronda from the office pool doesn need a 24 inch screen to view e-mail and print reports.
A 23 inch will do just fine.....
