  1. Re:Windows 7 on One Year Later, "Dead" XP Still Going Strong · · Score: 0

I suppose it made sense, and simplified developing Aero, but it still wasn't very nice to steal their idea. (and bump up OGL CPU usage at the same time due to the extra layer)

Hey, I'm no M$ fanboy, but hating someone (you said "spite") for taking someone's idea and making it better doesn't make sense. But hmm, I think that was pretty much M$ strong-arming the market.

Hey, why isn't IBM on their list. I doubt why it would need so many servers though. Any ideas?

  3. Re:But where does all that money go? on Intel Receives Record Fine By the EU · · Score: 0

It _is_ very true. In the EU, you have to cough up the fine first, appeal later. This was exactly what happened when MS did not pay up the 497 Euro fine, dragged the case on, and got fined again and again.

  4. An intern at Sun on IBM About To Buy Sun For $7 Billion · · Score: 0

Sun was at my campus this year for recruiting.

Liked their caption. "If you're curious, you're qualified."

It's kinda ironical that I approached them for an intern, they said they don't take interns. I'm now interning for IBM.

Ah, now I will never work for Sun. Sad.

No, it doesn't. The error might be in floating point math but still, since you have no estimate of the error, this would definitely creep into integer calculations.
