Note that Atari VCS 2600 can only do 60 fps (NTSC) or 50 fps (PAL/SECAM). It can't slow down, because this console's display is pure real time (aka "racing the beam"). All the other consoles were able to slow down when needed, but 2600 was 100% stable.
More and more new apps are iOS4.x only. Old compatible apps are being upgraded and some are now iOS4.x only. And iTunes upgrades apps without checking compatibility first (it overwrites old compatible ones with new incompatible ones without a warning !). People with iPhone1, at iOS313, are doomed.
The old first iPhone (Edge) is still at iOS313. With a lot of bugs, with a lot of security holes. Apple should really give an iOS314 with fixes ! At least four millions of these iDevices are still running.
Checklist so far, from beta1 to beta6: - Disk Trashing. A lot. To death. No fix. - Cookies eating. All erased. Randomly. No fix. - Very few extensions ready. Raw back Firefox riding. Valkyrie needs extensions, badly. Can't use it.
Apple stopped firmware updates for iPhone2G (edge). It is blocked at iOS313, forever. So, iPhone2G misses a lot of security updates. The old edge iPhone is really full of holes. And nobody will secure it. Steve, please, help !!
Remember WinG under Windows 3.1 ? That was DirectX v0.0.0 ! Very fast 2D graphics for games and apps, zooming, real-time dithering from true colors to 256 colors, etc. Some apps used WinG to be even better and faster (Paint Shop Pro, etc). History is the same today !
iTunes upgrades my iPhone2G apps to "iOS4 only"

iPhone2G won't have iOS4. But iTunes now upgrades and overwrites without a warning some of my apps (they are "iOS3" or "iOS2") by newest versions (that are now "iOS4 only"). My bought apps are overwritten by incompatible version ! I can't use the newest version, and the old working one has been overwritten without a warning. Paying for apps and now losing them... Thanks Steve !
No surprise this year. Jobs himself: check. New iPhone model: check. New firmware version: check. All is "déjà vu" ! The only possible surprise would be "OS4 for iPhone2G" (they said "no !"; now they should say "yes !").
For example: 2G phones don't have MMS. They can do them (a Cydia app does it for 2G phones, so the hardware is able to), but Apple didn't enable them in the firmware. And there are already words about "no firmware 4 for 2G"...;(
iPhone2G is as powerful as iPhone3G, but Apple seems now to forget these old models. New firmwares for 2G lack features found on 3G. I hope FW4 won't be for "3G / 3GS / 4G only". First iPhone buyers love Apple; Apple, love them !
- How about showing the number of characters when typing a SMS (36/200, 37/200, etc) ? - How about showing an icon saying "incoming" or "outgoing" in front of each call in the phone log ? (Without having to click the arrow to see the details).
These things exist for years on other phones...
You can add many other things to this list: - Having more than one camera roll to store all the photos, manageable from the phone. - A direct "new tab" button in the bottom bar in Safari. - Enabling developpers to use TvOut for all the applications (games displaying on your TV !). - Etc...
The PC version can still be found at a very low cost (at least in France).
The only problem with the PC version is the lack of joystick/joypad support ! The console version came first, but they totally remove the joy inputs for the PC port (why ?). What a mistake ! With a good joypad, the game is far more playable...
5200 was not 2600 compatible. People were really angry!
This was a major error from Atari; that and the 5200 joysticks.

With the Amstrad PCW, one was able to enter Greek characters, AFAIR.
FireFox7, aka FinalFantasy7, will have a huge step forward dealing with memory. FF6 doesn't have such nice awaited features. I'll skip #6.

...Less space than a nomad. Lame.
And expensive !

"Back to Firefox 3", is it the only way ?
(Firefox4 progress looks like Vista's).

My cat's sandbox is the right place for Adobe's products.
Too heavy, too slow, too buggy, too dangerous, etc.

iPhone2G is full of security holes. Apple won't fix those.

Rendez-vous in a few years to see the bad side effects...
They are in the "space age", with rockets and satellites...

In France, a popular IT proverb says "Adobe, c'est de la daube". True one more time today...
(won't translate; lost in translation).
Not enough money to buy colour cameras, perhaps ?
