Now I have serious problems with pretty much all organized Christian faith. They spend all their time telling you that you're going to burn in hell if you don't do this, or don't say that, or if you vote in favor of gay marriage, or eat red meat on Fridays during Lent, or use a condom or Pay us 10% of your wages or fail to wear your holy underwear at all times. You have the godhatesfags.com morons who obviously really fucking hate themselves if they're "loving others as much as you love yourself".

Its not my place to pass judgement on ANYONE. I live my life, believe what I believe, pass on my beliefs when appropriate, and try my best to be good natured. And I fail miserably at times :). I try to do good overall in the world, and help other people out when they need it. And quite frankly, I can do that without someone telling me the myriad of ways I'm going to go to hell.

But I agree..the Burn in Hell shit is nothing but FUD. These people who call themselves Christian and constantly tell you how you're going to burn in hell....well, assuming hell IS real, my personal opinion is they'll probably be there too.

From the article: If, after a hearing, the parking ticket fine is reduced rather then dismissed, parkingticket.com retains half of the amount you saved and refunds the balance.

So you saved $5 off the parking ticket. Parking ticket retains $2.50 (1/2 the amount you saved) and refunds the rest ($12.50)

So your ticket has cost you $27.50, not $32.50

Granted, you're still paying $2.50 more than you have to if you went it alone. Hell, the ONLY time you can actually come out ahead is if you use their service for a ticket you KNOW will not be reduced or dismissed. Then you make $10 (but of course are out the full price of the ticket)

But either way, Glider is not a tool that "accesses elements of a copyrighted work". It is a tool which accesses elements of a copyrighted work that you, as the user/developer, have a legal license to access until such time that Blizzard revokes said license for violation of their terms of use.

In other words, Glider does not bypass protection mechanisms granting you the ability to access copyrighted work without a license. Glider breaks a civil contract, which upon discovery will cause the licensor (Blizzard) to revoke the license of the licensee (you). After that, you can no longer access elements of the copyrighted work.

Dear god...I'm not American and even I understand it... In the American political process, the Republicans and Democrats run through the process of the presidential primaries...at its core, it is an election to become the presidential candidate for the party. Delegates are selected based on electoral results from state to state according to the rules of the Democratic or Republican party. They are pledged to an individual candidate. Superdelegates are high-ranking members of the party, generally speaking they have served the party for many years, and are given a "free vote" to give to the presidential candidate of their choice at the convention. They are not bound to any candidate, or required to vote for a specific candidate based off of any electoral result...they are free to vote for whom they wish. The only reason that the Democratic nomination has been such a gong-show is that neither Clinton nor Obama have enough delegates from the primary electoral process to win the presidential candidacy...they are having to rely on superdelegates to have enough support to secure the nomination (candidacy)...the article you are currently reading is discussing that Obama now has enough elected delegates & superdelegates that have said they will vote for him to secure the nomination. Clinton SHOULD concede the nomination, however in theory if she wants to be a supreme bitch about it she could carry this fight all the way to the Democratic Party convention, where the actual Presidential Nominee is formally selected.

I'm a sysadmin, and have worked with Dell and their systems for the last 10 years.

I find they generally have a lower failure rate than other manufacturers I have used in the past, and their tech support has been second to none. I call them up, I get someone in North America, I explain what the problem is and how I've reached my diagnostic conclusion, and I have the part and/or a service technician in my home or office the next business day. Every time.

The best I had was on the Optiplex 5xx line a couple of years ago...we discovered a failure in their motherboard design which would cause CPU fan faults, and eventually fry the CPU. The only symptom before it all went to shit was the CPU fan running signifigantly louder than usual. We had 25 units with the "defective" motherboard...and once the problem was diagnosed & repaired on the first failed unit, Dell sent a small army of techs (well, they sent 10) to replace the motherboards in the 24 other PC's, regardless of the fact that not one of them was showing symptoms of the flaw.

And for the record, I'll get the tech to do a full MB/CPU swap, but other than that I'd rather just have the part & replace it myself...but if I want a tech to swap a failed stick of RAM or HDD they'd send the tech...I just find its a waste of effort on their part to send someone to do a job I can do in 30 seconds myself.

While this power has never been historacally abused, the Governor General does have the technical legal right.

As well, although tradition mandates that the Prime Minister holds a seat in the House, there is no legal basis for this to be a requirement. 2 Senators have been appointed Prime Minister in Canada's history, and one PM actually ruled from the hallways after being defeated in a general election until winning a by-election (William Lyon Mackenzie King for you trivia buffs out there).

From the article: "And the buzz is that the new law will basically be a copy of the controversial U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)." Mr. Harper, the DMCA is a deeply flawed piece of legislation in the United States, and is nothing more than Government bowing to the pressures of Big Business over the freedoms of ordinary citizens. Canadians enjoy many freedoms today with our current copyright laws, including Fair Use, Device Shifting, Time Shifting and parodying copyrighted materials. While I admit that today's technology is causing issues with copyright abuse, the solution is not removing personal freedoms that Canadians enjoy. I in no way, shape or form advocate anyone stealing music, movies, software or any other creative or informational work. However, I cannot condone or support a government which would abandon the very nature of Fair Use. Without proper fair use clauses in place, my quote of the Globe and Mail article above would be considered illegal copyright infringement. This Mr. Harper is unacceptable. I consider even the possibility of Canadian copyright law reflecting the DMCA as a direct slap in the face to ALL Canadians, and I strongly urge your government to scrap any proposed legislation which would mirror the DMCA and come up with a Canadian solution which protects both the copyright holders and the freedoms of Canadians in using creative works fairly. This is an issue I feel extremely strong about, to the point that should your government pass a mirror bill to the U.S. DMCA, I will immediately do everything in my personal power to see the Conservative Government fall. This proposed bill is simply not acceptable to me as a Canadian.
