My opinion of Windows Vista is affected by how crappy Windows Vista is, if it gets put on my new Mac I will definitely have an even worst opinion of the operating system.
Our school's internet connection is pretty high latency and because of the number of elements on the screen with Windows Live relative to that of Google means Windows Live is so slow it times out half the time while Google loads in a snap. Guess which one people here are going to use.
For the people who wear glasses they should cram OLEDs down so they are small enough to be integrated directly into regular eyeglass lenses, with wireless and batteries to power it all.
For people who don't wear glasses though, we should look into directly stimulating the optic nerve, but find a way to do it without actually having something that touches the eye.
There should be cell jammers at cash registers. People have no business starting a purchase and then suspending it while there are several people behind them in line. When I run a register and my customer answers a cell I suspend their transaction and let the next person go check out and I don't let that cell toting sociopath resume the transaction until the entire line is through. There is no excuse to answer phones at the register, you can turn the things off for the one or two minutes it takes for your purchase, but because you don't, cashiers should be able to enforce the rule.
I hope cell jammers become legal and are made mandatory in all new cars and a mandatory retrofit in all old cars and must be active whenever the ignition is. We would see a huge decrease in the number of car accidents. It's worth it, period.
It could be used to stop the license revocation of hacked HDDVD and BluRay players, MS can simply refuse to license the patent. This would be an awesome reason to have this patent.
Google could do more to drive people to their side products like post ads for them on their search pages, but it could turn off the users and drive them away from Google. Right now those extras that Google develops brings more traffic to the Google website through the various integration features Google has built in them. It's much better to use those other products to drive people to the search then trying to give those secondary products dominance whilst loosing dominance in your primary product.
