I'm not a native speaker, and I obviously make mistakes while writing English. But for the love of god, how can someone be stupid enough to write "should of" instead of "should have"? It's not even like "it's" and "its", or "you're" and "your", because the pronunciation really isn't close. On a related note : http://static.fjcdn.com/pictur...
It is simply that you cannot multiply and reach a lower value
You must be fun at parties. What about 0.1 times x, when x is positive? Note : no fraction involved. What about 2*x, when x is negative? Note : no decimal involved. If you're gonna laugh at stupid people for math problems, you might want to check your math first.
It really depends on the language. VIM is more than enough for Python and Ruby, but completely inadequate for Java. You need to write so much boilerplate code and redundant shit with Java that it's a torture to write it without Eclipse or Netbeans.
It matters very much if it's linked to global warming. Sure, you need a short term response for the impacted people, but you also need to have a plan for the bigger picture. If you don't, you're only treating symptoms while ignoring the cause.
The burden of proof lies on you. You're the one claiming that economy is a science and that at least some economists have pretty solid theories and numbers. No matter how many PhDs and fake Nobel prizes they give themselves, they're still idiots thinking that basic physics laws don't apply to their world.
Given that peak oil and climate change are big f**in problems we're not really adressing, bankrupting car manufacturers isn't necessarily a bad thing to do. Those people will have to find another job some day anyway.
Or in this case, I was just replying to the GP that was naively saying it was unfair to the others. BTW, Lance Armstrong gets no sympathy from me. But in the cyclism world, "everyone else does it" really is true. Who won the 2000 and 2002 Tour de France? You need to look at the 10th place (really) to find a guy that hasn't been caught yet.
Which is what their competitors had to do to meet the standards. Volkswagen's cheating gave them a leg up
How cute! You think the competitors didn't cheat. Hint: no other car manufacturer in Germany has said anything about this affair. Wait a few months, and you'll learn that BMW/Porsche/Mercedes did the same. Japanese & American manufacturers probably did too.
What? A fair, balanced and open-minded comment about GNOME 3? Guys, bring the pitchforks!!! Next time he'll tell us that systemd has some interesting features!
Yes. I had a very hard time understanding the weird UI of Photoshop. It still doesn't change the fact that some crucial Photoshop features have been lacking in GIMP for a *long* time. I can get past the weird (and different) GIMP UI, but I cannot live without adjustment layers. See http://wiki.gimp.org/wiki/Road...
Really nice article. :D
Thank you very much!

This has been my experience as well. I love Linux Mint + MATE.
Thanks for the hard work!

Fun fact : Ganymede and Titan also orbit the sun ;)
Thank you.
So facebook is just an Array of Users?
And every User has his birthday today?

THe CIA has done so much crazy shit, it actually makes sense to assume that they did something similar, and that we just didn't hear about it.
Plus, you can use a git client on a svn server.
The cars would also have needed so much urea that they would have been considered defective by the drivers.

+1
I lol'ed. How many of those idiots still believe in infinite growth in a finite world?
Wow, you really have a huge collection of p0rn!

The CEO totally looks like a guy who would invest the extra revenue in R&D, not coke and hookers.

Thank you. Also : peak oil.
That sounds like "enjoyable rape" to me.
I don't know, microgravity maybe?
