You must be fun at parties. What about 0.1 times x, when x is positive? Note : no fraction involved. What about 2*x, when x is negative? Note : no decimal involved. If you're gonna laugh at stupid people for math problems, you might want to check your math first.
It really depends on the language. VIM is more than enough for Python and Ruby, but completely inadequate for Java. You need to write so much boilerplate code and redundant shit with Java that it's a torture to write it without Eclipse or Netbeans.
It matters very much if it's linked to global warming. Sure, you need a short term response for the impacted people, but you also need to have a plan for the bigger picture. If you don't, you're only treating symptoms while ignoring the cause.

No matter how many PhDs and fake Nobel prizes they give themselves, they're still idiots thinking that basic physics laws don't apply to their world.
Given that peak oil and climate change are big f**in problems we're not really adressing, bankrupting car manufacturers isn't necessarily a bad thing to do. Those people will have to find another job some day anyway.

Yes. I had a very hard time understanding the weird UI of Photoshop. It still doesn't change the fact that some crucial Photoshop features have been lacking in GIMP for a *long* time.
