    I still don't understand why people think the existence of Google Glass means it's always recording. It has a light on it when it records. It's an extension of the phone, nothing more.

    Webcams, mobile phones and Xboxen can still record while being "off". Do you really want to trust Google on that one?

    The nicest street of Stuttgart, close to a beautiful park, south-oriented and overlooking the whole city is full of houses that basically are small castles.
    There's a "Steuerberater" (Tax advisor) shield on every single one of them.

    That's what I though too. But I really don't think that would give you an exact location with 5m accuracy.
    Apple has a database with WiFi Router MAC Addresses linked to coordinates, thanks to so many people having IPhones in the neighboorhood.

    I installed Mavericks on my Mac Mini last week.
    Clean install, no Bluetooth, no personal information given, no smartphone connected and obviously no GPS.
    Just localhost login and WiFi password.
    I wanted to take a look at Apple Maps and clicked on "Your location" to see if it would get my city right.
    Well, the map was zoomed at 20 on my balcony, with the exact address.
    It took me a while to understand how they did it.

    I wish I had mod points.
    Renewables are *by definition* enough.
    It's what's left after we burnt (or decided to stop burning) everything else.
    So yes, we'll surely have to use less AC, forget airplanes, drive smaller cars, eat less meat and buy less useless gadgets, but renewables will someday be enough with 100% certainty.

    I just want to add that the keyboard looks good, but is pretty much unusable without learning unusual shortcuts for some characters.

    Perfect use of government money would be to help people eat healthier food and exercise regularly.
    Subsidize local fruits and vegetables, offer cheap yoga lessons across the country, and you'll soon won't have to monitor as many hearts.
