The first time I played the second episode in Quake. I had gotten home pretty late from work (retail sucks) I was tired, and it was dark. I wanted to play it since I had bought it that night. I put my headphones on so I wouldn't wake any one. I could hear the dog around the coner. I knew it was there, but when it jumped out of the darkess at me, I went throught the roof. I think that creepy CD Audio added a lot to the atmosphere as well.
Seems to me that the GeForce2 added a number of features, as did the GeForce3, and the GeForce4. I have also noticed that they relaese a whole new chip about once a year. Yes, they do ma minor adjustments too it after 6 months, we all know something relly new will come out 6 months after that.
It is a very specialized procesor. It does graphics, and it does it very well. If you tried to do any thing else on it, you would probobly go insain trying to work around it's limitations, and the resulting program would most likely run slowly.
I'm not sure if this true now, but those older 3d labs cards, while thy had impressiv specs, were not ment for gaming. They were designed for high end 3d modeling. i.e. Autocad drawing an entire design composed of thousands of little pieces. While the two uses have similarities, they are not the same.
Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries. If you could make it trhought th horribly buggy interface, and get to the game without crashing, it was really nice. I can't remember how many times it died on me half way through loading the mision. It took them a year to get the patch out.
sounds like you don't have a very good video card. My geForce2 has never been a problem. Also, how do you play FPS games? Even RTS games are much easier with a mouse/keybard. The keyboard for shortcuts to units, the mouse is for that selection arrow. I can be fast and twitchy w/ a mouse, it's hard to do that with a little joystick. Although, I must admit, consoles do have there place. Trying to play Smash Brothers on a computer realy would suck.
Be mindful of the power supply that the new mother board uses. Many of the new P4/Athlon require a four pin power plug for the proccesor that wasn't on the older ATX's
A bike won't fit in the back of my compact car, but I bet I could get a segway in there. I could take off the shelf for the hatch back to get it in trunk.
The neat thing about the nVIDIA drivers is that they work for all nVIDIA cards. The driver someone with a geForce 4 downloads is the same one I get for my geForce 2. By making all of their cards compatible like this, we don't have to wory about them not making drivers for the old cards.
What about hybrid cars? Use a small gass engion running at peak efficiency, when needed, to recharge the batteries. Instant long range electic cars that get ~50 miles/ gallon.
There was at least one game, maybe Heretic, where idkfa would kill you. So, be carful... :)

I asumed nasm is something close to masm. I have used masm for assembly programming.

Thanks, I was getting both. Now I can save some bandwidth for somebody else.
I'm still wondering what the solver is and why it is 104MB.
AFAIK, Star Office comes with clipart and some other "nice" features as well as support while Open Office doesn't.
Here is a question. What is the difference between the sover and the installer besides 50 meg?

Don't forget the hot grits. You must have hot grits.
There is probobly a reason the price is not shown.
... you can't aford it.
If you have to ask...
Even better yet, one of the self winding watches. They have a weight in them, and the daily motion of your arm spins it around and keeps it wound.

Almost makes me wish I knew Japanese so I could figure out what that was all about...
I was surprised to see Panasonic's name at the end. Was that an ad for some kind of product?

I think you meant three of these things...
if they were "giving" her the speakers, I'd be surprised if she paid any extra for the trouble they had to go through.
I like what they did w/ the first unreal. It was kind of like midi, except it had samples of the sounds used right there in the file.
Hey! I represent that remark!

the bold said that you did not need to restart
