    Mmmm.. Thank you captain obvious. But unless by some miracle GooTube streams at a higher bitrate than it currently does and we peons of the end user world have a faster connection, Gootube will never be an acceptable alternative for the home-theater setup. Also- don't confuse computer-targeted media systems with home theaters. I know that those lines are almost non-existant, but the average person thinks a torrent is a vehicle by Pontiac. Granted, some tvrips are close in quality to the HD-TV originals... but they have a learning curve associated with using them.

    Yeah... my sister used to put hotbar on every IE-equipped computer she could get her hands on when we were kids. Ever since then I've had a distaste for any toolbar. Phoning home, vulnerabilities, embedding malware, consumption of system resources, time taken to initialize, etc.

    toolbars are the spawn of satan.

    Exactly! Throw in GMail drive extension (watch the ToS for GMail!), google calendar, google earth (blew my 75 year old grandfather's mind), etc...

    I don't have google toolbar though.. Nor any toolbar for that matter.

    People love it for its free-ness, clean ui, and lack of intrusiveness (with the exception of google desktop- which basically just destroys the point I was trying to make...)

    Unless of course you have stateful packet inspection (hopefully at least on the border) which determines file type by header, not extension. What school nowadays doesn't scan for zips?

    I've been saying this for months here and all you'll get is arguments back.

    It comes down to this: If you don't believe in a higher authority that ultimately you are responsible to, why would you believe Creationism? In fact Evolutionists refuse to even entertain the idea that Creationism is valid because it undermines their philosophy, and ultimately, sin nature.

    I think a lot of these addictions are not rather addictions, but a lack of self-control and discipline. While I'm not debating whether or not there exists such a thing or not, a lot of people claiming internet addiction do so for an excuse- for pills, for pity, for disability compensation.. etc.

    Time for all the "I DISAGREE!!!" replies!

    Saying (in essence) that yahoo and msn are better than Google is plain absurdity. Why do you think Google PWNs the market for searching? Simple. Type, press enter. Repeat. Repeat.

    For yahoo, I have to click on the text box to put in a search. I have to a web search for the search box.

    Google: Front and center. Clean. Simple. Uncluttered.

    PLUS wicked fast page loads even @ low bandwidth (or myspace-blocked school tunnels). Try loading yahoo at peak times on a dialup connection that sadly gets 24kbps.

    True.. hadn't noticed the 1200 ppl before, so I guess that makes sense. But still.. realistically, how much of a tax savings is that for the gen pop of WA? And who knows if it would ever even be acknowledged. No, more than likely it'll be used for some pork/salary-type "expense".

    So basically Washington gets $925,000, while the people actually affected by this have to split $70k. Thats a bit money-grubbing for me. That covers about 1400 people that were actually dumb enough to buy the spyware. This is just my opinion, but I think a lot more people than that actually bought it. They can then reinvest that $50 back into Gator.
