  1. Reminds me of... on Understanding Burnout · · Score: 1

Yes.. burnout comes from not having a comfy chair. And while you're up, could you get me a few Dews, plug in my iPod, and massage my feet while you're at it?

Quit being a whiny pansy and get back to work.

Just kidding. Burnout is more of your lack of mental ability to cope with whats going on around you than what is actually going on around you.

Anyways.. gotta run, my Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is acting up again.

  2. Of Course! (note: sarcasm) on Would You Trust RFID-Enabled ATM Cards? · · Score: 1
Go ahead, use the RFID cards. I use wireless networks all the time for my banking/purchasing needs and WEP encryption handles it just fine. Sometimes I do it over unencrypted networks just to feel like I'm living life on the wild side. I just have to buy when my punk neighbor kids are around or I'm at work or in the airport. WEP is perfectly unbreakable. And so what? Even if someone does get my number, I have a really good fraud protection system with my card. I've only had to declare bankruptcy twice.

I can't wait for these new RFID chips... Because no one knows how to use them or what they mean anyway.

    Note: I'm kidding.

Its one thing to present a choice between security and convenience and have a whole bunch of suckers take the easy way (aka personal responsibility, ignorance is no excuse), but its another thing when that right to choose is taken away (remember Sony DRM?).

Washington, ironically, was Episcopalian, the American sect of Anglicanism- the very religion of the country he was fighting against.
Jefferson shared beliefs with Protestants, Deists, and Episcopalians, so he was hardly separationalistic in his beliefs
Franklin was very lax in what he believed, since he didn't practice and besides some public retorts, did not delve frequently into religion.
    Madison was Episcopalian
    Hamilton Presbyterian
    and John Adams Congregationalist/Unitarian

There are many denominations to the label "Christian", from faith-healing hippies to Catholics. True Christianity is not about religion or rites or good works. Its about having a relationship with God, who sent His Son to die for us. How people describe Christians- ruthless, conniving, hypocritical, immoral- thats not what Christianity is, or should be, about.

I find it quite humorous in a sad way, that people proclaim the pluralistic virtues of America, and how we need to be tolerant to all religions-

Except the one which set the foundation for America to have those beliefs. Christians are fair game, no?

I try to raise the point that I don't like to be told what is "truth" by a group of people who make it their life's goal to prove what they believe is true to be true. I'm sure 99% of you would say the same thing with ID in mind. Therefore, don't get on my case when I raise that point when you don't even know what side of the line I stand!

I am not a self-proclaimed expert in this field- however I just wanted to emphasize that I don't like being told what truth is when it has not been proven either way. The same goes for ID vs Evolution. There are many people who even deny both sides of that coin. You say that there is a push to get Evolution out of the classroom- but that is a small minority of whats actually going on. Schools where I live would never ever even consider using ID in textbooks- and yet there are many more instances that seem to prove ID over Evolution than no-global-warming over global-warming.
