I've been attempting to boycott Amazon for stuff like this but I simply can't help myself over how convenient it's become not to have to spend several hours a week shopping. I would seriously like to have input into their decisions and would like alternatives to use that are better than Amazon in terms on not censoring and offering such a wide selection of stuff available for free delivery.

So before suggesting features, he did ask in his post about price and I think he was hoping someone would have a free workgroup level AV program, but I think he should actually ask if any of the major and maybe even minor AV companies donate software to NPOs.

And they were running things like Windows 3.11 and Novell 3.12 until 99. I talked to a friend there and he said they still have over 200 MS Mail servers for legacy support.

Companies like this will often pay huge amounts of money to software manufacturers to keep supporting their products because many times it's cheaper than upgrading, or there is something specific they need done.

I still remember the old medical database they were running from the 80s. They hired six engineers from the now-defunct company to continue supporting it.

I wish I could remember the name of it, but I worked there over 10 years ago now.

So the answer to your question is similar to what others have already said. If a customer is willing to pay you to support IE 3 then go for it. But otherwise, when a product is EOL, you generally have an excuse not to support it.

...and I took the California route. I found out that in TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine), ADHD is considered a 'skin' disorder. The skin meridian is something that runs along the back of your shoulders and is the energy that feeds the largest organ in your body, your skin.

Learing this, I went to see an 'alternative' doctor, who prescribed the following things: Stop taking drugs. Stop eating anything with White or even Cane sugar in it. Get excersize where your breathing and heart rate increase for a half hour at least three times a week. He also told me to quit milk for my digestive disorder... he put me on some cleansing herbs like Goldenseal and Intestinal Probiotics(The good bacteria that's supposed to be in your intestines that all the meat with antibiotics in it kills)...

Well, the first three weeks were some really rough weeks, not having my drugs(I was taking AD meds that curbed my very mild ADHD - 150 mg of Effexor and 90 mg of Remeron for depression and sleep problems) and detoxing from all the toxins in the prescription drug industry... I started feeling better and better, and four weeks into my treatment I was feeling better than I'd felt in my entire life. Not only have I avoided sugar and dairy for a year, now, I have lost weight, felt better, no more depression or ADHD, and some of the best sleep I've ever had... and I never did manage to excersize as regularly as the doctor ordered.

Hope that helps for my experience with 'alternative' medicines.

The problem is that if we want to continue having a strong economy, we have to recognize that putting Americans out of work means less Americans buying products and less Americans with disposable income.

I can't wait until we just get rid of all the countries and start cooperating as a race rather than stupid tribes competing against each other. We ARE supposed to be modern and civilized, aren't we?

Yes, Americans invented Video Games, TV, Internet, Radio, and everything else used to entertain modern man, but the Japanese have stolen the video game market away from us with excellent, creative and innovative games.

While this might be considered flame bait, Anime is also an excellent source of entertainment, however, it is far more derivitive and generally has little to offer in terms of inventive stories. (I like Miyazake and I did enjoy Lain... I also adore Juzo Itomi movies).

I've always fantasized about a table that would have a small console with a keyboard and screen for each player where there could be messaging between players/GM. I've also wanted to be able to send images/maps and other important information over the consoles on this, my fantasy gaming table.

Of course, cool holograms ala Star Wars Chess Table would rock for the battle map. The problem... I know the technology exists for all of the above, but the cost is far too prohibitive to make a gaming table this cool.
