I thought one of the tenets of trademarks was "where the product is targetted to the same marketplace"...or some such thing.... does the MPAA assume that the "internet" is a single arena, which it controls a percentage of?
i like knowing what's going on within my machine. i like knowing i've manipulated swathes of data with a few keystrokes. i like being able to discover the reasons why it acts as it does.
there are others reasons, but they've mostly been covered ^up there^ in other posts.
Seriously though, they may be doing a good thing here, but I can't help note the Mafi-esque style in play here..... Anyone up for compiling a conspiracy theory or two?

I really should start acting on my ideas....about three months ago I came up with a design for an array of small electromagnets set behind a sealed layer of a ferrofluid (preferably non-poisonous) to create an "LSD-Style" mirror...funky subtle programmable warping effects...

did anyone else notice the shopping cart system go all screwy?.. when I first got there, it appeared that I'd chosen to buy 999 USB Cradles..not much use with out the iPaq..then after a reload, I had one of everything.. CpQ really should gimme a call & get me to sort out their site..
anyway, incase you couldn't find it on the site, use 222527-001 as the QuickAccessCode..hmm which also doesn't work, as I've just discovered..
Maybe he/she/it was suggesting that the.NET framework equivalent be built in Perl..perfect glue..
I'd be up for that.. ..anyone know of a project going, let me know...
