If you work for a company with a 40 hour week policy and in the US are exempt, 10 extra hours is an effective 20% reduction in your effective pay per hour.
Granted, I'm not familiar with Chinese labor regulations or Foxconns policies.
Anyway, time worked over your company's policy, over a period of time (once in a while is fine, circumstances), is a clear sign of under staffing. Unless you get a bonus consummate to the extra time. Or are paid hourly (the contractors).
While we were there the guide said that some species probably floated/swam but others were probably carried on pieces of wood or other floating debris (that they happened to get on at the right moment...).
Wind moved most of the plant seeds, but probably also animals.
The penguins are really out of place... One island over from are flocks of flamingos.
It was probably a combination of luck and an attempt to navigate. Maybe a land bridge. But long distance water crossings by nature aren't uncommon.
The Galapagos Islands have penguins (which don't fly) and other land creatures (awesome lizards). They didn't navigate, they arrived via luck and accident.
The Galapagos are over 1,300KM from the coast of Ecuador.
With the "leak" of 80 million Hyperscans, the Party knows how to interact with people effectively on an individual level.
The stolen, leaked, or just scraped social media info provided the context to supplement the interaction. This provided insights beyond the individual, providing geographic, class based, racial based, and down to the neighborhood preferential messages.
When talking to a group, the Party adjusted the message utilizing the aggregate data as needed, it's about who and where and how - it defines the best message.
But being up close is what scores points and gets on the news.
Do I shake someone's hand (are they comfortable with that?) or just politely say "Hello" with a gesture?
Do I kiss the baby, hug the baby, brush her forehead, or just say "That's a beautiful baby"?
Do I go for a hug (photo op) or just wink and ensure the person that the oil industry will be growing?
The augmented reality, powered by an AI, combined all of the factors, letting the Candidates speak to and interact with both groups and individuals in the most persuasive way.
I have YouTube TV and like it. I'm not sure what the alternatives are around this price point and feature set (DVR and on-demand are well implemented). These new channels are not compelling, but more repelling.
* Buy a class, own forever with no other fees (forever = Udemy exists). * Learn on demand. * Tons of course across all learning (I do drawing and writing courses with my kids, Unity, piano, and more advanced drawing/art for myself). This is a major selling point. They have the tech courses as well (data mining, etc.) * $10 gets most courses (always on sale)
PluralSight
* Monthly fees for complete access ($35 USD/month for personal). * Corporate approved (my company provides access). * Tech oriented (wide range of offerings, but for adults). * Learn on demand.
Udacity (first heard of them today)
* I can't tell the fee structure or the fees as they require signup first (no thank you). * Tech and business stuff only. * Time structured, not on demand. This is a massive detriment in my opinion. Deal killer. * What's a nanodegree again? (Udacity made that word up)
Conclusions
Udacity is too narrowly focused and I'm not clear what the benefits of a nanodegree are. I can demonstrate knowledge on a topic, I don't need a made up degree.
Udemy wins it from my experience (best instructor interaction and very good course structure, better than Pluarsight which I have had access to for years).
Udemy also has the best fee structure/prices.
Udemy FTW. I've bought about 50 courses from them.
90% file electronically. The system would be crushed. We already filed and tax season (comical that it's called that, but in a bad way) is almost over.
Everyone should fill in returns hand-written. It would crush the system. It would mean delays, but it would make them look terrible. And that is necessary.
On another front, airport security theater, if 5% of people requested manual searches at airports that system would implode. Myself, I don't request such a search but I travel with baby powder. It's not a liquid but they have to test it manually with me at a table (take a sample, add some solution, wait - they also go through the bag, I pack underwear) to verify it's not drugs.
Props to President Kennedy (with an amendment): And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you â" ask what you let them do to you "for your country."
Try YouTube TV if you like the channel selection. It's rather awesome.
We also use Netflix and Amazon (for shipping and renting on demand). Easy to navigate from the Roku, and we have the apps on a couple of tablets which is nice when travelling (offline Netflix is sweet).
In my area it's fast (100mbps), stable (no outages in a year, can't recall the last one actually), and they don't enforce a data cap (my wife leaves YouTube TV on all night most nights and I have a lot of Steam traffic).
That said, their TV offerings are way overpriced and the last DVR we had from them was worse than Tivo from year 2000. It was really crappy.
My sons name is Wilbur but we call him Wib. This was my grandfather's name and nickname, but the nickname is the only thing people that knew him called him. My middle name is Wilbur as well (I use the full word, not the nick name, it's a first name sort of change).
Regarding the Dems, it appears the party chooses the candidate... At least that's what happened last time (they gave up the Presidency doing this, they didn't let the people choose, they manipulated the system).
Both parties suck but they have a lock on the elections (read up on the debates, they control who participates).
Dems will win if they put a semi-likable moderate up.
Grain of salt, I know nothing about him at all. I look forward to learning though, and it takes time to type this much.
#1 - Son of a judge, he was born into that. Not his fault.
#2-Went to boarding school, not his fault. The well-to-do prep their children as they see fit and are financially able to do so (great reason for Euro medical care and college education systems actually). Even if you starred in Full House.
#3 - Are you an angel?
I wasn't in my younger days, I won't speak to current days.
Did you ever scratch a car? Skip a class? Have a drink and then drive?
#4 - This is tougher. Rich and powerful ally with the same. Since the Middle Ages and before (Egypt, and before, single family affairs though).
Party affiliation is irrelevant to me. Actually it isn't, I want anybody not in the mainstream to be successful.
Any citizen of the US should have at least the services provided the three million people we keep in prisons or jails.
Prison is socialism, and we are good at it (best in the world, better than China!). Think about that for a minute..
Regarding his upbringing, FATE is where, when, and to whom you are born into the world. It limits or expands possibilities.

Include things like:
1. Holographic food
2. Holographic housing
3. Holographic money
I mean, if you're going to go holographic, you need to go all in.

Coolest place I've ever visited.

Wikileaks has the Mueller report.
Either the report or Assange will be "released". Ecuador wanted nothing to do with this blackmail, so it rescinded asylum.
Would make a decent movie, maybe.

The Party won the elections easily.
One person primarily benefits from this all: David Zaslav, the CEO of the Discovery networks.

Oh, he helped Oprah start OWN, and Discovery has a majority stake in OWN at this point (so he OWNs it as well):

This is why we can't have nice things...
I fondly recall the days of calling the cable company and asking if they offered Comedy Central.
"No, I'm sorry, sir."
Click from me hanging up.
Long time ago and I don't really care anymore, but it was funny, I had a few calls along those lines in the 1990s.
If they were free what's the complaint?
I always watch a bit before purchasing to check quality (and English/Aussie/South African accents are fine with me, and very common).
I read reviews, check quality, , review syllabus/course overview, and then determine whether to purchase.
I'm not familiar with CBNuggets. I'll check it out.
Udemy also offers completely offline downloads as well, not sure about the others. I've used that to do drawing courses while out camping.
I like the breadth of the topics (pretty much anything on a cursory or medium level).

Rented on a whim. Good lord that is an awesome movie (and soundtrack)!
Eventually saw it at a theater (saw Princess and the Dragon the same night, different theaters, epic German movie night).
Also stumbled upon Floundering at Blockbuster. Tis a good movie to stumble upon, but rather incoherent.
My reviews of mosquito repellents.
Ultrasonic = Ineffective
Thermacell products (some chemical released by battery power) = Ineffective
Citronella = Not Effective
Picaridin = Slightly effective, enough to notice
Deet = Effective. 25% for the kids, 50-100% for me in the summer.
Battery powered tennis racket bug killer = Effective and the most fun (doesn't hurt much when directly killing)!
In total I've spent well over a year camping outside. Deet is the answer unless one wants to play tennis.
Correct, there are 599 White Castles in about 15 states.

I would have voted for Bernie. Wanted to actually, but didn't have the chance.
Religion shows this to be case for many adults as well. Every single word actually.
I like the comment, I am not disparaging.
There a photo of him here from when he was 5 or 6 wearing a shirt that says "Beto", a shortening of Robert.

On this alone. The last Presidential race was a shit show of insane proportions (I voted, but not Dem/Repub).
