    I personally enjoy bitlbee quite a bit more than any other IM client. Just connect with whatever IRC client you like and there you go! Perfect integration with emacs, no blinky lights, no nothing.

    Followed all the links. What I am saying is that a qwertyesque layout would suck for a cell phone. The layout used is not very qwertyesque, and I can't find shit on it (neither can I on qwerty, but that is another story).

    my other main point is that it would have to be a very different layout for each language. Good shit that.

    It's not exactly what they did. they put uio on the same key to fit qwerty standard. And that is just wrong. they should be #1 on seperate keys for sure.

    The correct way to make texting oh-so-hyper-fast would be to put the most used letters as the first letter on the keys, followed by 9 less used, and finally 9 even less used.

    QWE makes no sense. Why one lil click to type a Q and three to type an E? I sure know I type a lot more e's than q's. EWQ would be a lot better.

    Then, of course, you run into the lil' problem with different languages using certain characters more than others and people using bizarre short hand (Go to new zeeland will ya! (: ) .

    Ah yes.. back in the days... Marvelous software for sure :) I still use it daily. Primarily for detaching sessions so I can get them out of my view though.

    No. I am very much aware of how often I play with girls (mostly because I don't get nearly as drunk as I did back in my younger days). As for games (offline or online) all I play is backgammon and there seems to be quite a few women playing.

    Women shouldn't be developing games! They should be cooking, cleaning, giving birth, and pretending they have the right to vote.

    Women playing video games is just cheating anyway... there you are fraggin' along in yer favorite online game and all of a sudden "HEY! I'm a girl!". And all the lil online gaming virgins get stuck in "huh huh huh. girl. huh huh huh" land, and she can just frag 'me all easy as that. It's free drinks at the bar - just cause you have tits - all over again.

    A great big pardon to all you gamers out there if "frag" is not what you say these days. I hope I didn't insult anyone.. and even if I did well gnusto rezrov to you too!

    What you get with the BSDs is a complete OS where every part is designed to fit into the whole. As opposed to a kernel with some random packages thrown on top of it.

    The part about letting unix be unix and not just trying to be a window clone is so true!

    I remember when I left the GNU/Linux world behind me and I was so amazed by how not all forums and mailing-lists where filled with the "but windows is doing this" "a windows-like desktop that" . Instead just meaningful discussions. Wow! The average linooxer seems to have some bizarre inferiority complex related to Microsoft.

    I remember reading something along the lines "linux people do what they do because they hate windows. BSD people do what they do because they love unix". It very much rings true.
